I struggled trying to edit the original Japanese PDF... I seriously need to become more computer literate. You are right about the livestreaming...JSports may have purchased the filming rights. The Saishunkan vs. Yonex match will be shown on November 8 on JSports-on-Demand (a subscription service). Unfortunately, Momota's match (NTT vs. Mitsubishi Motors) is off the radar completely. I really do not understand the machinations going on.

He will start work next January and his last day with the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is next Wednesday. I’m sure I’ll learn much from him. This stint will help enhance my coaching knowledge. I see this as an opportunity to improve my credentials as a coach." “Japan has good players in all events, except mixed doubles. I’m honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of changing their mixed doubles fortunes.” [Source]
Malaysia doesn't have so much XD talent either. CPS and GLY were a standout pair, but I struggle to see other contenders for world/Olympic medals.

The 71st All Japan Championships (Nov 27 - Dec 03, 2017) Schedule: Nov 27 : DRAWING (14.00), Opening Ceremony (17:00) Nov 28 : Qualifying Rounds (09:00) Nov 29 : First Round (10.00) Nov 30 : Second Round (12.00) Dec 01 : Quarterfinals (12.00) Dec 02 : Semifinals (12.00) Dec 03 : Finals (10.00) Momota will start playing on Nov 29, the MS players list posted here
@Quentin 11 Currently the draw looks like this, with the timetable for the qualifiers being decided today. (Link: http://www.badminton-a.com/all71japan/20171203index.htm) Just to help with names: Match 1: Nishimoto Kenta (top left-hand corner) Match 3: Maruo Ryotaro Match 4: Onodera Yusuke Match 5: Tsuneyama Kanta Match 6: Koga Minoru Match 7: Matsukawa Naohiro Match 8: Ueda Takuma (bottom left-hand corner) Match 9: Momota Kento (top right-hand corner) Match 10: Kozai Kazuteru Match 11: Shimono Hashiru Match 12: Takeshita Riichi Match 13: Igarashi Yu Match 14: Naraoka Kodai Match 15: Yamazawa Naoki Match 16: Sakai Kazumasa (bottom right-hand corner)
I think Yu Igarashi will able to beat Kodai Naraoka at Round 2. Yu Igarashi won easily against Kodai at Finnish Open 2017 (straight games 21-18, 21-9) My predicition is Momota vs Sakai (in SF) and Momota vs Nishimoto/Tsuneyama (in Final) As overall picture, Kento Momota Road to Final : R1 : vs Qual. players R2 : vs Kazuteru Kozai QF : vs Riichi Takeshita/Hashiru Shimono SF : vs Kazumasa Sakai/Yu Igarashi/Kodai Naraoka Final : vs Kenta Nishimoto/Takuma Ueda/Kanta Tsuneyama
Looks like we're sh.. out of luck, mate. At this point, smash and net.tv would have surely mentioned something if they were broadcasting, but both the channel and the website are barren.
I wouldn't be so sure about it. He's since reached the final of a GP tournament, beating Hsu Jen Hao and forcing Khosit Phetpradab into a third. Both players ranked above Yu Igarishi. He also looked really convincing against Wong Wing Ki Vincent at Macau. Igarishi is probably still the favourite, but I reckon a matchup between the two guys that will surely be #1 and #2 for Japan is quite the prospect.
As far as I know, the All Japan Championships are only being shown on NHK BS1, one of NHK's satellite channels. If anyone has access to NHK BS1 (I certainly don't), then the fun starts on November 30, 10:00 am.
+ @Cunning Linguist Awww mannnnnn!! @kurako Please record the matches for us pleassse!!! When you go there.
Tony Gunawan is the head coach of team Tonami. Surely he should check on the potential opponent to his team Also, as an American players, I think he also wants to meet some acquintances in the past during this tournament
Wow I don't know that Tony has been coaching in Japan as well all this time. I thought he is still heading his own club in Orange County, California.
Although Tony Gunawan is a coach at Tonami, the head coach is actually Masuda Keita (who also doubles as National Team B coach). See http://www.tonami-badminton.jp/players_staff.html for the team/staff list.
Would be nice to have an "71st All Japan Championships 2017" Thread me thinks Should be an exciting tournament, lots of new talents in MD and WD this year and Momota and Nozomi back in great form
