No KOR too. Weird tournament indeed. Polii/Rahayu have a real shot at qualifying for Dubai. Just have to destroy CQC/JYF again after brushing aside HDP/LWM. They basically have to beat all the CHN pairs! Only non-CHN pair they faced is CYN/JKE (assuming CQC/JYF don't mess up in SF).

Sung Ji Hyun stomping her authority. Playing very aggressive. Not giving any chance to HBJ to take initiative

Great tactical approach since the game interval from SJH

SJH playing amazing right now. Rock solid defense and not making mistakes anymore

SJH determined not to lose to another chinese youngster after her shock exit in China.

Great great performance by SJH in the third game. Dictating the rallies and cutting the unforced errors. Another SF for SJH

Sung JH cleverly plays lots of fast clears and suddenly drop shots and x-nets to get the better of HBJ in G3, aided by HBJ's proneness to error.

Next round will probably be her nemesis Tai Tzu Ying though. That's a whole different challenge

If Chen Yufei loses later, it will be a historic year as no WS SS titles at all for CHN.

Indeed. For the first time in the history of badminton!

HBJ is still playing in the superseries finals though, so China's got one last chance if Chen Yufei loses here

Oh yeah forgot that she did. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'm counting on a glorious return from Nozomi at the SSF! :D

What a legacy though. Still, I won't write CYF off. She can grind out wins with her physicality and TTY is still a bit inconsistent.

That would be amazing! The place where it all started for her :) I wouldn't dismiss TTY, Sindhu and Akane though

SSF isn't a SS. Besides I personally do not fancy HBJ's chances much there.
CYF has better odds to end the drought here

CYF has much more potential then HBJ. She can trouble TTY. I can definitely see her make her way to the Top 5 next year.
