What a close shave for P V Sindhu, Sayaka Sato is such a tenacious fighter.

I think I figured out why Okuhara withdrew after playing just one point.
My guess- She hasn’t yet recovered from injury, but just wanna get those valuable points for a mere appearance to make it to Dubai. If my guess is right, she would see how her other close competitors fare this week and may give a guest appearance in HK as well, if needed.

His fighting spirit and tenacity is really quite extraordinary. Let's see how he'll fare against another Chinese youngster today.

She is the World Champion. World Champion automatically qualified to the SSF...

Prannoy already complaining about lack of recovery time on tweets.

Same thing happens with Kevin/Gideon though.

Maybe not. To appear to get some points might be important for her rankings. Beside participating in the SSF, rankings points have other use, like meeting lower seeds in the earlier rounds

Not many have the chance to play LinDan and LeeChongWei in the same tournament and have the chance to beat both of them (since already beat one of em)

So let see if Jonatan can beat NgKaLong to have that chance.

It will be a good sparring experience. When was the last time LinDan lost in R1 in SS anyway?

Praveen/Susanto and the Adcocks have ensured their qualification to Dubai SSF despite losing in R1 and R2 respectively.

PraveenDebby is probably pressured by being the No 1 seed for the first time? Lol.

Didnt watch the match but when i watched the first four points of the match turned me off, that is ugly lol. Dont know why they do these kinds of errors.

I think Praveen is talented, but he's mentally weak like Ahmad. But the thing is, Natsir has the character to turn Ahmad into champion. Not the same can be said about Debby, she is not as bold as Natsir.

I'm not sure. Peter Gade in his final years was playing more downward shots than ever. I think it depends on the player's natural disposition.

Ivanov Sozonov is basically flicking the whole of the matc or definitely the wholw of G3( such is the low confidence of their serve) and the fact they are tal ( they will never be faulted).

    It disrupted Wang/Huang momentum.

Have never seen so many flicks in MD matches.
