Does anybody know why this tournament has such a weak draw for WS? I mean, it's a SSP tournament and has one fewer qualifying round than all other SS tournaments this year. Some of the players that don't have to qualify are also incredibly low ranked.

Nice to see nozomi back. Doubt if she will win though.

The last edition of China Open in Fuzhou after fourth consecutive here. Fuzhou still as a host for China Master starting in 2018 (around November). Great anticipation to overcome the quality of the tournament as since few years ago this China SSP tournament have some weak compositions or less players come than other same level tournament.

I notice the 2018 edition of China Open will be held in Changzhou (常州). [IMG] [TS Link]

    except Prannoy
anyway, I believe it is because they just had sort of a 'sport gala event' this Sunday in India
they must not be in 100% condition for the tournament after the event and just decides to withdraw

MS have all 4 qualifiers in bottom half -all in fourth quadran-, what a draw.

Fourth quarter is deemed as the perfect tourist destination for Top Shuttlers. You can bring your family to enjoy this privilege. While your friends are still welcomed.

This SWH never gets injured or what? He is the only player (I reckon) who has appeared in all the SS tournaments this year and the last year, barring the Australian open last year.

On a serious note, he has remained injury free and has been a consistent performer in most of these tournaments. Class act, but has been shadowed by the likes of VA, SK, LD, LCW and CL in this period.

My favorite is GOAT who will be playing at his home province Fujian.

    Home crowd advantage ;)

Lu Guangzu withdrew from last week's Macau Open and then here, a bit disappointed.

Unlucky R1 draw for a number of CHN WS, Chen Yufei vs Tai Tzu Ying, Chen Xiaoxin vs Akane Yamaguchi, Cai Yanyan vs Sung Ji Hyun, Gao Fangjie vs Nozomi Okuhara.

CHN Open PSS is mandatory for the top 8/10 players, why did Srikanth withdraw? He's young and fit and in top form, I'm sure he can handle back-to-back tourneys.

I saw his name in the HK Open list. In that case, he will start fresh there against some of the top players who go deep at the CHN Open.
