The only thing missing is the shirt swap after each game. :D

    Predictions for MS and WS?

I honestly think MS can go either way for each match, but here are my predictions.
MS - Prannoy, LCW, LD, Sri
WS - Marin, okuhara, takahashi, CYF

The one I’m probably most uncertain about is sri and axelsen

Nozomi Okuhara- PV Sindhu H-H is 5-4.
In the big tournaments it's 1-1
    Olympic Semifinals Sindhu beat Okuhara
    WC Final Okuhara beat Sindhu

I just made a casual remark and you've to jump on me. SO WHAT if the draw seems unbalanced on paper, it happens sometimes, and upsets often happened. No, in WS, there's no dominant player, only briefly at most - TTY's just ended - but not convincing; previously, LXR, CM, IR, NO, TTY, now not sure yet. Don't forget, Chen Xiaoxin last beat Marin in June at the INA Open, what's CXX's WR then ?

Why can't I bring up TTY and SJH, atm WR1 and WR3 respectively, and they were in this tournament before TTY withdrawn and SJH got knocked out by WR20 Saena Kawakami, an upset again. And you insisted on talking about SSF Standings only, well, up to you.

I don't have to underestimate the quality of 'my' players, their results,i.e. facts, speak for themselves , apart from HBJ a year ago, CHN WS have been languishing since the Rio Olympics. that's why I'm hoping for one or other of these youngsters to make a breakthrough, and, happy to say, Chen Yufei has just shown signs of that at the Glasgow WC beating both Akane and Intanon.

Apparently, you seemed sore that I opined CYF (not HBJ who's still too inconsistent but I hoped she proves me wrong this time) might be able to make a breakthrough here, and that's just an opinion, how can it be a fact when it hasn't happened yet ? She is the best player left in the draw, you claimed, so it's a given she will enter the final ? I hope so, and win the title as well, THAT'LL be a real breakthrough, her first SS level title. Simple as that.

Btw, I don't agree with Forestal for comparing Nozomi vs Sindhu rivalry to LD vs LCW, still too early to say, and in brackets he mentioned " or CM vs IR" - there you have it, someone who thinks highly of IR. In my opinion, in WS here is no one who can compare with Lin Dan and Lee CW, by far.

Let's wait for CYF to clear the QF first, then the SF, before we talk further.

(What's that about Donald Trump, he exposed fake news in the MSM, you know)

nope, not really. At least there's no me in that everybody. It could be a good rivalry if korea open were all england and japan open is another wc (tai vs sung the 100th time still would be better rivalry:D, jk)

It's nothing wrong abt that no's post. It's just i prefer them only talk abt theirself and maybe talk abt their opponent after the match

Lin Dan vs Son Wan Ho
    Kidambi Srikanth vs Viktor Axelsen

Dan looked in cruise control while dealing with Lee Dong Keun whereas Son Wan Ho continued his impressive record against Lee Hyun Il.
    Expect a tactical warfare here.

Srikanth was effortless in his drubbing of Hu Yun while Axelsen always had a gear higher to deal with Nishimoto's perseverance.
An all out offensive battle and nothing else here.

Lee Chong Wei vs Chou Tien Chen
    Shi Yuqi vs HS Prannoy

Chou Tien Chen survived by skin of his teeth against Vittinghus HKV whereas Lee Chong Wei made a miraculous comeback from 17-20 to clinch the opening game 22-20. A devastated Sugiarto wasn't able to stamp his authority in the 2nd game.
Expect an all round action here.

Shi Yuqi's extremely slow starts in the matches continue here in Japan as well. Was extremely ineffective in the first game against Verma before displaying his talent and skillset in the 2nd and 3rd game to book a QF berth.

HS Prannoy made things a lot more messy in the second game against Hsu Jen Hao before finally clinching the victory at 23-21.
Patience and Power will decide the outcome here.

Luckily, Lin Dan and LCW's matches are on Ct2 at least, so can watch them on livestream. Sadly for me, not so for Shi Yuqi, He Bingjiao and Chen Yufei's matches.

That's good for the fans, a rematch of WC MS final and Japan Open 2015 final.

So far, only Denmark players have beat Lin Dan multiple times, since they are strong in attacking.

That is only if Srikanth can somehow beat the in-form Axelsen. Last time they met, Axelsen dismantled Srikanth.
    May the best man win.

Infact Sameer verma was extremely good in the first game against Shi Yuqi. He could not do anything. Later , as usual, Sameer melted away. No precision or anything in the next 2 games.

Amazing match point for Vladimir/Ivan vs Zhang nan/liu cheng. Ivan sozonov fell down on court and chinese pair targeted him , continuously bombarding him with their smashes. He simply returned everything while he was still in the floor and finally Vladimir finishes it off. Here you go.
