    On the other hand I'm happy that axelsen won. He deserved it after that SF

    Alas, an 11 year age gap is too big even for the legend himself. Congrats to VA! Even I felt emotional watching his family's response.

    I think Son Wan Ho might have a better chance against Viktor Axelsen today, but VA would still win it , say, in a three-setter

    He's won the WC 5 times already. No 6 is nice but after you win 5, I think no 6 doesn't mean as much as it does anymore. LD is playing on house money right now. If he had retired after 2012, he would still be considered the greatest badminton player of all time.

    good to have a new World Champion in MS
    I'm tired of LD/CL chronicles for a long while
    But it's not easy for me after witnessing LD's defeat in a final,just too hard to take

    Iirc LD has won almost (if not all) the titles in badminton, mutilplemtimes for the big tournaments too...
