Hahaha yeah, imo the inner demons started to rise and question HSP's self belief when LCW got back level. That's what maestro'like him are famous for.

LCW was probably playing at 70% himself while Prannoy was playing at 90% himself.

I am not his fan either.
Actually the same thing is also affecting VA.
When VA was started to bring laurels, JOJ showed weird trend in Rankings and in fact lost to him when they clashed s words.
And now when Antonsen has started to taste some success the same is happening with VA.
I maybe wrong in other stuff but one thing is sure the Danes don't like to play their Jr compatriots at all

As GC mentioned HSP looked shaky ever since he couldn't defend his Swiss GPG title due to the injury he had. Also, the reason for not being in SC.
But I think the way back to training has helped him, he looked fit yesterday and obviously today.
I wish the same for SN.

 

Fukushima/Hirota lost g1 and 16-16 in g2 the reunion looks fine to me.
CTC should do quick work on Andres he was really charged up in SC, hope he is still on the wave

 

LCW should be more aware of the air current problem. Look how many times he push it wide, out or hit the net.
He also didn't want to smash at all, he did at least 5% of smashing. Not even a glitter of the former LCW.

 

Not excuse but his game plan failed him utterly. I wonder why Tommy didn't beat LCW yesterday.

 

I hope Prannoy didn't over-tax himself-- it takes extra effort/ force to "push through" the straight smashes in such "drifty" conditions, that's why LCW (& LD) couldn't/ wouldn't do it-- but let's see how much of a challenge Jonathan Christie is going to give to Chen Long...

Would be nice if we had 2 Indian MS in the finals again-- but Angus Ng Ka Long also didn't give much of a challenge to similarly hard-smashing Wang Tzu Wei, so Srikanth has a pretty tough match next round as well.

 

Any hard smasher like WTW, CTC, SK, HSP have a good advantage in this arena.
I suppose Chen Long will have a lot of challenge.

 

I know, not a good excuse, a minor factor. Still the style of play and adaptability may affect some players a bit more, esp when he didn't prepare himself well, technically speaking. Anyway, it's obvious LCW couldn't play his usual game and made many uncharacteristic errors. But , you win some, you lose some.

 

LCW played well but Prannoy came up with some strategy to outplay LCW. I wonder what happened to LCW's coaching bench. They were extraordinary players once.

 

Now that both LCW and LD are out, Jonatan Christie must be very excited.

 

Tommy has simply past his prime, I was shocked he pushed LCW that hard. Almost nothing is remaining in his trick hat now, unless a miracle happens R1 of any SS is all we can expect from him

 

CTC is doing a very costly mistake of allowing Antonsen to breathe down his neck.
He should have a cushion, or it can go either way in the end
