Well, is that right strategy by Japan..Shouldnt they played WD first to tank the XD since they will lose the XD anyway just to give pscyho pressure?
Don't tell anyone, a secret b/w us..These were snubbed not rested(shhh!)...Xia Xuanze said one nearly lost in Rio QF...one has a terrible record against Sindhu...Yepp.
THA 1 - 2 KOR Thai team is done with this defeat. KOR is in final. Nonetheless, it's still a very good achievement by Thai team.
Wait a minute. Did china just field their B team? China doesn't seem to be learning does it? Chen Qing chen and Zheng siwei have been in extremely poor form. If they simply wanted to lose, they should have let india advance.
Nope, SJH has learnt the hard way, lost so many close matches, she's always been the "good" player, she's never seen as a title contender. It's like she has worked so much on herself and learnt from her mistakes, she's stronger than ever, and RI's movement doesn't help either. It's SJH's to win or to loose. To choke or to conquer. She must be starving for a victory after 2 consecutive humiliating losses in two days TO TTY
They had to play CQC twice, as Alan said, no surprise there. They now have the "fortune" /"favor" of the lineup. They can win XD with any pair, and a 1-0 lead will come in handy. Needless to mention JPN's fav discipline might not even start (WD) But why SY, that's the only mistake imo. If they fail to make it 3-0 (MD is the crux) they might go down Loosing thelast three matches. They've shown their belief in "scoreboard pressure" and imo there's very meager chance of it failing
Why did CQC needed to play twice? Or even once? Why not a line up like against India? Also, CQC/ZSW have been in terrible shape for past few months. They just lost a match to a Hong Kong pair, who would have thought that?
I read Alan Chan's comments, and I disagree. The focus should be on presenting the strongest team possible for the match. The order doesn't really matter, or matters very tangentially.
Congratulations Korea and well done Thailand for making the semis! At the start of the tournament China, Japan and Denmark were the favourites. Korea was not expected to cross the quarterfinals and here they are in the finals. Sung Ji Hyun was well prepared with 2 matches against Tai Tzu Ying. MD was a surprise. I won't be surprised if Korea win the Sudirman Cup. China are still the favourites but favourites don't always win.
There is always chance especially if chen qingchen gets injured so japan will be praying for that. XD WD double kill, with these two in hand Japan will definitely go to Final.
Well it's either CQC or HYQ they can afford to play twice. I am not certain how good TJH's Conditions are so HYQ playing WD is more or less risky. Yeah, opinions can differ but I believe the lineup matters a lot, especially in higher stages of team events. JPN vs MAL or even THA vs DEN are eminent evidences in this very tourney. Plus the only reason we don't trust ZSW/CQC that much is bc they are young and relatively raw, but even in their young career they have proved themselves enough and earned trust of many. At least they can take on Yuta/Arisa without any hassle. And yeah about WD, I don't think any of 'em have chance against MM/At currently. Then why not get anything and everything possible in there favor, aka the lineup advantage. You'll see, it's a wise decision
