Indeed, there's no sub-forum so we must check carefully whether there's double thread for one tournament
MS qualification round presented tough competition yesterday, Brice Leverdez, Takuma Ueda, Liew Daren and Jeon Hyeok Jin secured main draw ticket at the end. Jeon took revenge over Kenta Nishimoto who defeated him in Asia's Mixed Team Championships final last February. Newly-crowned IND Superseries champion Tanaka/Yonemoto almost sent packing early, survived in three games to win narrowly over Thailand pair Kititharakul/Prajongjai, 16-21 / 21-15 / 22-20. Four remaining WD first round ties are scheduled today, home favourite Vivian Hoo/Woon KW will take on Chinese qualifiers Bao YX/Yu XH. FHF/ZSW fared surprisingly well agaisnt the russian pair it seems. I think this is hint that FHF is still in shape to be playing at high level. But someone please enlighten me as to why they didnt need to go through qualification while the likes of TBH/Setiawan still needs to? Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
FHF and ZSW are using the notional points whereas TBH/Hendra have to use the points from their actual tournament results.
Yes they did well in g1 even leading 18-16/17 before the JPN showing their class. No upsets in day 1.
Given that there was only a short time between creation of the threads, I don't see it as unreasonable for such a thing to have happened. Maybe destiny is challenging your senses but there's no need to whine about to us with a sense of entitlement. Note to all, two threads with same topic merged.
Thanks Cheung, problem solved Another early exit for Tian Houwei, this time lost to Brice Leverdez, 17-21 / 16-21. It's really bad start for Tian in this new season after he ended 2016 on the high-note to manage Dubai SS Finals runner-up. Tournament longest duration match so far, Bao Yixin/Yu Xiaohan edged out home favourite Vivian Hoo/Woon Khe Wei in pulsating 85 minutes of play, 13-21 / 21-17 / 28-26. The Malaysian wasted golden chance to seal last sixteen ticket when led 20-16 at decider.
Qiao Bin, Huang Yuxiang, Zhao Junpeng, all three of them have been underperforming. Disappointing. Only Shi Yuqi among the CHN MS younger cohort, apart from Lin Dan and Chen Long, of course, has shown real promise, sad to say.
Can anybody tell me how much speed does it require for smooth uninterrupted streaming without any lag on that Ukrainian website?
SN lost to AY no offense the young prodigy, but I have believed even a 80% SN with her power is enough for AY. The deciding game was rather one way traffic. SN went out of steam? Went all out at g1? Coz she looked motivated and moving perfectly fine in IND. I guess that was only because she was playing PVS
AJ is really unpredictable, how on earth he mocked out QB that bad?? Nothing to get excited about though, he'll take the exit door as soon as he'll believe he can
And PVS lost to CYF, in a long match. Must be tired. And the young talented CHN (my fav of the current lot) is obviously no pushover
