No way. Indonesia didn't give the Chinese pair a chance.

The INA Gideon and Sukamuljo are fired up while the CHN Li/Liu are stunned and couldn't really get their game going.

Lol Justin.....Still at it I see... The Indonesian were simply better. They destroyed the Chinese defense, frustrate their attack and dominated throughout. The Chinese pair had no chance to comeback into this match. A well deserved and confident victory !

YESS!!!! As I predicted many years ago since he was still a junior with PB Djarum, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is going to be a star. He has slowly proven it step by step, winning GP & GPG titles; before finally winning 2 SS & 1 SSP titles with now-sure to be long-term partner Markus Fernaldi Gidon!

Today, Markus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo didn't disappoint INA fans as they clinched their first major title, the All-England 2017 title, by beating the in-form Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen in straight sets 21-19, 21-14. The second-set was a white-wash white the INA pair totally dominating the court.

If my calculations are right, they will be ranked no 1 next week.

Next short-term target: defending the 9,200 points from the India SS 2017.
Next big target for the pair
: the World Championships 2017 in Glasgow.

The second set is very much like yesterday. It is like WTF, how did they just zoom away??? Leaving the opponents clueless.... very well played.

The last country to win the All England in 2017 will be a TV country:D

    Great sense of humour.

Kevin's reactions today were like the Matrix.

You took it too literal. I'm referring to most of the danish team's choice of string.... lol

Both of you are too defensive over a reasonable remark of mine. Just because he INA won handsomely, my position seems untenable. But how many times have we seen a match suddenly turned a different direction just when it seemed to be going in one direction ?

Maurice, your implication of bias is unjustified. One match alone doesn't tell you the whole story. Besides, I've commented on the INA's amazing speed and morale in this match. Other than that comment which both of you picked on, I haven't spoken much and has been quietly acknowledging the INA's superior game today.

I finally got to watch the last WS match from the Chinese website.

This should be very interesting. Will TTY confirm her WR1 to take the crown?
Or with the Queen of Thai badminton, RI, prevent TTY from succeeding?

For some who kept talking about All England is just a SS tournament, did you hear what LCW said and the Indonesian Kevin said? LCW said it is his favourite tournament and Kevin said it is the oldest tournament and their dream to win it. You can ask any professional player of a tournament that they wish to win other than the Olympics, 99% will say All England.

As for the Olympics, why players put a lot in it is because the huge price that comes with a gold medal.Winning a gold medal in some countries guaranteed the player a monthly/yearly amount of money for the rest of their life or a huge lump sum and other incentives which no other tournament can offered.

If Intanon's fitness/stamina can hold, it's a 50:50 match based on skills and deception as well as the hunger to win.

These two women are covering a lot of court area.

Tai's forehand defence reach is very good
