A bit of both, he's been living in KL for almost 7 months following the incident. There's a chance he might be naturalized as a Malaysian and play for MAS in the future.

If you missed watching the live stream from the usual betting channel, there will be someone uploading on Youtube soon.

Here's a highlight reel from Purple League's Facebook page.

Heard he might clash sword with our Sony Dwi Kuncoro on the 30th against Petaling Jaya. They're trying to put this line up to happen. Finger crossed for old school stroke skill and technique packed game!

By then, Tago would have overtaken LCW.

Tago was the one who paved his team's way by beating Chen Long in the semis in 2014 Thomas Cup to lift the trophy for Japan. Went from hero to zero in Japan. Now that he's kicked out of his own badminton association, I guess he's going to be a good use for any country willing to accept him, in this case Malaysia.

There's been quite a lot of players that have either trained or still training in Kuala Lumpur recently, Tago, Tommy, LHI, even Hendra is leaving for KL early next year to train there with TBH for India GPG. Many foreign coaches too, like Hendrawan, Morten Frost or Li Mao.

I like how the Malaysian not only accommodate and facilitate players and coaches but also welcome them regardless their nationalities. A great way to even further and encourage love for this sport. Credit to Malaysians on this one!

I am wondering where you heard he might be naturalized as a Malaysian.

I heard it is pretty difficult to be naturalised as a Malaysian and involves giving up your own nationality.

In the past, I can't recall any non-Malaysian person having changed their nationality to play for Malaysia. If there is or was, who would that be?

Some players in their soccer squad are naturalized so it's not that difficult.

As for players, I couldn't remember any but for coaches Rexy and Hendrawan were granted permanent residency and offered naturalization. Rexy was so close to become Malaysian citizen when still working with Yap Kim Hock but refrained to keep his Indonesian citizenship.

The footballers that are naturalized are some way related to Malaysia, their parents or one of their parents are/were Malaysian but they grow up elsewhere.

Anyway, I don’t see how Tago can play for Malaysia, he is already 26-27 ? Malaysia has many upcoming MS, which might not get the opportunity if Tago is given the slot. Unless Tago is sponsor by private company like lee hyunil.

Beside the coaches, once Taufik Hidayat was thinking of playing for Malaysia when he fell out with PBSI, however there are strong rejection in Malaysian.

Taufik almost moved to Singapore not Malaysia. It was us who strongly rejected his moving and quickly got him back.

Indra Wijaya also coaching singles for Malaysia.

Thanks for sharing, I've already seen this. He still got it. Excellent touch at the net and thundering smashes from the back. He has to make a comeback and play in the SS(P) again.

He won't because he cannot participate without being part of his country's federation.

His countryman Momota will definitely present an obstacle to him.
