Son Wan Ho have a good chance of taking the title along with Jorgensen.

Zheng/Chen tames the Japanese in two straight games. What a great and talented pair.

Last time, only Okuhara was able to beat the same player consecutively.

TTY did not give her all in this match knowing she was already qualified. SJH has made great progress, she is playing very much like Sun Yu.

Convincing display by Sindhu. Marin really struggling once again in the Dubai Finals. A repeat of last year except that this time she will not qualify for the SF.

Anyways really love the line_up for the SF ! Every match is pretty exciting in my view. Especially:

    • Taka Matsu vs Pedersen/ J: repeat of Olympic Gold Match.
    • TTY vs Sun Yu: Dwarf vs Giant. Sun Yu is very good at using her height against small players like Akane, TTY or Nozomi
    • TH vs JO: JO was clearly saving his energy against TH in his match from today, he was barely at 60% of his potential. I think tomorrow will be a very different match.
    • VA vs SWH: Could be the match of the day
    • Kamura/ Sonoda: No matter who they play against; they are always very funny and entertaining to watch. Dwarves vs Giants kinda match as well. Interesting to see if they find a way to cope with these very steep smashes
    • SJH vs PVS: Could be the match of the day as well. Similar heights, similar styles, very long rallies to be expected.

I suspect JOJ played the long game yesterday just so to avoid LCW which turned out to be unnecessary. He'll show his true colours today, Tian Houwei will be sent packing, unfortunately, reality check.

Whether it's Viktor Axelsen or Son Wan Ho tomorrow, Tian Houwei...hold on, I have to wait for my authentic crystal ball to arrive by next morning.

Is it just me or have SWH and THW worked on their deceptive skills?

Maybe they have. Son Wan-ho has always had pretty good disguise especially around the net.

Viktor avenged his defeat on Son when it mattered more.

Forget about my crystal ball, intuitively speaking, Viktor is going to be crowned SSF'16 MS Champion tomorrow, if for no other reason than that he beat LCW. It goes without saying, Viktor still has to work for it, don't expect Tian Houwei to hand it to him on a platter.

OK, the handsome Janet to take on Zi Ying for the WS crown tomorrow. Will Janet beat Zi Ying again, repeating her success in the group match ? I think so, maybe 60% chance.

(Why I called Sung Ji Hyun, Janet, you wonder ? You have to ask our dear kwun, he started it.)
