    2015 WINNERS => https://bwf.tournamentsoftware.com/...8CB674-5B18-413D-95AA-DAA3D67D22C1&d=20151108

    MS - Lee Dong Keun (KOR)
    WS - Sayaka Sato (JPN)
    MD - Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang (KOR)
    WD - Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee (KOR)
    XD - Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na (KOR)

    A parade of home best players as all of their A-listers take part here including Dubai Finals-bound shuttlers, Son Wan Ho, Sung Ji Hyun, Jung Kyung Eun/Shin Seung Chan, Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee and Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na. Lack of foreign top names in the draw, its neighbouring countries Japan-China only send second stringers and juniors to give more exposures in international tournament.

    Korean leading men Son Wan Ho-Lee Hyun Il and younger compatriots Jeon Hyeok Jin, Heo Kwang Hee, defending champion Lee Dong Keun are familiar names among many lesser-known local hopefuls. Big challenge for others to deny all Korean final scripts, Wang Tzu Wei is the highest seeded non-Korean player in this category. China new rising star, Zhao Junpeng is drawn at bottom half and slated to meet Lee Hyun Il at last eight.

    In women's singles department, first time appearance for Bae Yeon Ju post Rio OG, possibly this is farewell tournament for 2013 World Championships bronze medalist. Two interesting opening round ties will be scheduled tomorrow, second seed Bae YJ against 2015 WJC bronze medalist Natsuki Nidaira and 7th seed Kim Hyo Min has another Japanese starlet Saena Kawakami. Top-seed Sung Ji Hyun should has no problem to pass first round and will face either Zhang Yiman or Lee Min Ji at last sixteen.

    Men's Doubles probably the best chance for others to deny host clean sweep mission, Korea is still seek to form formidable partnerships after Lee YD/Yoo YS, Kim GJ/Kim SR, Ko SH/Shin BC golden era. Local pairs should rule women's doubles and mixed doubles discipline, their main rivals will coming from Thailand and Japan.

    In WS, Sung Ji Hyuun is the clear favourite, her challenge will probably come form the JPN , Aya Ohori, Ayumi Mine, Yui Hashimoto, etc.

    In MS, no doubt Son Wan Ho is the frontrunner and the 36-yr-old veteran Lee Hyun Il always a threat to anyone, I'd expect to see both of them duke it out in the final. Let's see how the newly-minted Macau open champion will fare against the evergreen LHI , should they cross swords.

    Wang Tzu Wei and Jeon Hyuk Jin are the other two MS to watch. Also not ruling out Darren Liew, P Kashyap, Lee Dong Keun, Pannawit Thongnuam, Heo Kwang Hee.

    Looks like Son Wan Ho's namesake, Park Wan Ho, is no mean player.

    Wang Tzu Wei appears somewhat sluggish, don't tell me he's not quite able to cope with back-to-back tournamenmts.

    Zhao Junpeng started tentatively, was trailing most of the way before finally winning the deuce in G1, 22-20, from Jo Gun Yeop. This KOR Gun is good.

    Zhao Junpeng not maintaining his pace, sometimes slackening, still winning it in two sets, G2, 21-13. If he plays like that against Lee Hun Il, he'd be thrashed.

    I predict both Son Wan Ho and Sung Ji Hyun will quit before QF or at least lost in QF in order to prepare themselves in Dubai SSF

    ROUND OF 32 (09.00am) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=A347FB40-3FF9-46EC-9F99-E782E68E37F5

    It was massive first round casualty for home lesser-known players, their future stars Jeon Hyeok Jin and Heo Kwang Hee will be challenged by Chinese back-ups Zhu Siyuan and Guo Kai respectively today. Jeon started to steal the show end of last year when he topped podium in Macau and managed runner-up position in this mid-year Austalian Superseries. Fourth seed TPE talent Wang Tzu Wei had trouble to pass opening round against the aggressive Park Wan Ho, next Indian experienced player Parupalli Kashyap will be his opponent.

    Zhao Junpeng lost 22-24 21-9 18-21 to unknown Taipei Chu Han Chou. Or his name should be Chou Chu Han, this guy might be Chou Tien Chen's brother come to take revenge on CTC's lost in Macau. :)

    What's happened to LHI? Is he retired due to some injury?

    Seeing that it was 11-4 before he retired...I guess it was an injury? Dammit I wanted to see him play

    His name is CHU Han-Chou 朱漢晝

    He lost to Lee Dong Keun @ 12th World University Badminton Championship 2012, when TPE lost 0-3 against KOR in SF
