Lee Lee ruined CHN clean sweep and restored some pride for TPE after the MS loss.

Should try him out with one of Zhou Haodong, Han Zhengkai, He Jiting or Tang Qiang if his present partnership with Wang Yilv does not work out well.

They just might, now that all four of the mentioned are no longer eligible to play in the junior circuit next year.

They're one of INA promising pairs beside Haris/Sari.

China finds new hope in both these young men after Chen Long generation. I notice Zhao JP, Shi YQ and Lin Guipu were medalists in same WJC, 2014.

Lee/Lee deny China clean sweep in the most tightest final contest, the Taiwanese pair took crucial points as Zhang Nan failed to return the shuttlecock at the net in 19 all position. The biggest upset of final day none but men's singles, coming from nowhere the unheralded Zhao Junpeng performed excellent display to confuse Chou Tien Chen at first game, a comeback by top-seed in second game wasn't enough to stop Zhao to bag first ever title in GP Gold level.

For me, the least expected result is still Zhao Junpeng's victory over Chou Tien Chen whom even after he's dropped g1 I was sure he'd turn the match around with wins in the next two sets.

On hindsight, Zhao JP was improving with every match from the QFs onward, beating Sai Praneeth, then Wang Tzu Wei and finally Chou TC.

To be honest, I seldom take WJC results too seriously unless the junior champions also impress me at the senior circuit, such as Chen Yufei, Goh Jin Wei, Akane Yamaguchi, Intanon Ratchanok.

Me2, iirc I quoted u after one of CYF's match (in CBL (?)) theta she has got that thing in her, I have always kept her higher then HBJ (the H2H will change I believe, only a matter of time) in my books. The first time was maybe when she played WSX.

Congratulations to ZJP. He played a very clever game in not letting CTC use his smash. Zhao also made fewer errors than in his earlier matches. CTC doesnt like players who can defend and also attack quickly like JJ.

To me ZJP has elements of LCW and LHI. His speed and attacking game is very LCW and his strokeplay is LHI. But he has not reached masters level yet. He needs to have the confidence that he can play against the best in the world. So he should be playing more tournaments next year to sharpen his game.

I think Zhang Nan likes a tall partner and a good smasher and a true doubles player. Hong wei and Li junhui to me should be tried as his partner.

C'mon, MAS MD is currently ranked #1. The last time MAS MD was in Rank #1 when KKT/TBH were in their prime back in 2005-2007 I guess. And you just had a silver medal in Rio OG. So MAS MD is getting stronger as well.

one pair is not enough, MAS need at least 4-5 pairs to get strong, and they need to be within top 30 world ranking, or there will be better as at least 2 pairs in top 10 world ranking...
