Chen Long is the one to blame, He should have taken it. He should have let Shi Yuqi won on round 16 as this youngster can do it better. No title on home soil, with almost all player participating.

Among the 4 CHN finalists, CL had the highest possibility of winning.

Crazy how Carolina Marin and CL are both world and olympic champions yet neither have won a Superseries this year

Nan Zhang, with his 142 ranked partner proved he could take on the world alone. Very Impressive.

Nah, why should he? you win some, you lose some la. Besides the 3 finalists are still young they have plenty of time to change and refine their games and skills

Omg China is no title in home soil.
Is hell going to freeze ?
    Wtf is going on?

I never thought this day would finally come.

In other hand so happy Ina bag 2 titles after titleless in European SS

There something eerily wrong with China camp these days.

    CL disappointed,
If I am anybody to do that, I fell really proud to watch LYH and how the girl did throughout this week.
She was the youngest and the most in exp, most unaccomplished player on the court in such a huge tourney Grand Finale.
Everybody was talking to her, teaching her, the entire interval the coaches threw instructions on her, IMO this shouldn't happen. If at all this only intimidates you to even higher level and unable to keep the head straight and trying too much instead of playing your natural game, never gives you desired result.
They should just trust her, and let her do her work on court empty head and shoulder.

Besides we all saw how much indulged she was and reluctant to give away WD even diving and all, she was completely drain. Although ZN patterning Huang is gods for testing but IMO he should stick with LYH, she's extremely talented.

When I was a little girl, my mom always told me that cheaters never prosper in the end.

    Poetic justice.

Wow an historic year for Badminton! So many first-time. First time in history that China does not win a title on home soil and 4 different nations for the 5 titles. Many players from other nations have raised to the challenge this year, making for an healthy competition, which is great to witness :) Special congrats to Sindhu as she's had an amazing tournament. Her match against SJH was incredible

Cheater, huh ? If you're referring to the LOG'12 WD fiasco,he is not the only one, there were two Korean pairs and one INA pair. Strictly speaking, that incident wasn't called cheating but 'not playing to the best of one's ability' or playing the long game, if you like, for which they were all disqualified for playing to lose.

And you guys read too much into this CHN Open flop. At the post-match interview,Li Yingbo wasn't too upset, it's just a minor setback, a blip in his long, illustrious career as Head Coach, and considering Team CHN is going through a transition phase with many of the elite players suddenly retiring and the young and junior cohort stepping in, that's to be expected, sometimes.

As a matter of fact, in the last few tournaments, the CHN youngsters aren't doing too badly, rather well actually. But as LYB said they are still young, unstable, lacking experience and needed time to mature.

If CHN wins too much, they are damned,if they lose too much, they are damned - damned if they do, damned if they don't.

C'mon folks ! Everything in life goes through ups and downs, a natural cycle, nothing is forever. Enjoy while it lasts.
