Shi Yuqi at 20-19 didn't lose his cool , didn't panick, played a soft net shot to win it. Marvellous.

My fav player LHI gave a good fight to up and coming youngster Shi Yuqi, 16 years his junior. Brilliant match and congrats to Shi Yuqi, I believe we will see much more of him in tournaments to come!
The toppling of LHI by Shi Yuqi proves that dreams do come true after all, as the aspiring star bests his idol that he grew up watching.

I underestimated Shi Yuqi. He demonstrated maturity for his age, cool, calm and collected. I'm amazed.

I'm somewhat dazed, hard to believe what I've just witnessed on the screen. Shi Yuqi defeated Lee Hyun Il in two straight games !!

CBA sent mostly a bunch of juniors and second stringers to this French Open arena and they take center stage throughout the superseries tourney and emerged with four out of five titles !

If only Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen have joined them on Finals day.

A disguised wish in the form of a worry that China may go home without a title once again not only did not materialize but turned out to be a 4- title win.

I always feel good to see young players winning,no matter where they come from.
However this 'bunch of juniors' is perhaps the best from team China for the moment, and they still have a lot to learn. They have to work really hard to keep Sudirman cup next year.

    oh not now....

no title in Denmark and 4 titles in France are both accidental situation for China. However it's good to see young players growing up.

After the youth Olympics SYQ was kept in cold storage for about a year and reemerged playing so well. Hope it will be the same with Lin Guipu who had a better head-to-head against Shi at the junior level.
