Bad MD day for China? Even their top youngsters lost in straights to an unseeded English pair.

Ahhh BSP lost yet another close encounter this time to the evergreen Lee Hyun Il :(
It was so close throughout in the decider and the first to err, the lesser exp, lost eventually

at 19-18, Huang Yuxiang claimed the shuttle touched Zulfadli on the way out but the umpire indicated he didn't see it.

Lee Hyun Il was neck and neck with Sai Praneeth in the latter half of G3 until 19-all before he could close it out by taking the last two points. That was close.

Missed the ROG? I wouldn't have quoted Marcus/Chris merely as "unseeded English pair"
They were fab then, and tbh I kinda expected it

Is it just me or somebody else expected JHJ to give VA a run for money, alas I couldn't manage to watch and was actually surprised by the scoreline.

In the absence of some top names, it's wide open for others to grab WS title here, JPN-THA last sixtieen tie will pit Akane Yamaguchi v Nitchaon Jindapol and former champion Minatsu Mitani v Busanan Ongbamrungphan. One more Japanese representative, Sayaka Sato will up against China hopeful Sun Yu. Sung Ji Hyun, Tai Tzu Ying, Rio silver medalist P.V. Two shining pairs post Rio Games, Goh VS/Tan WK and Li JH/Liu YC ended their Paris campaign so early, lost two straight-games to European rival, Danish Astrup/Rasmussen and Rio OG Bronze medalist English combination Ellis/Langridge. Other seeded pairs stepped up to last sixteen, two-time winner Boe/Mogensen pushed into marathon match against Indonesian fresh partnerships, Saputro/Setiawan, next they will meet another challenging opponent, Chen HL/Wang CL. Thailand sensational duo Isara/Phuangphuapet will seek another breakthrough here after cruised into DEN Premier finale.

I'm very interested in the VA vs LHI match. Can VA get revenge for his loss at the Denmark Open last week?

SWH vs ZZ, most likely the Korean take it since he is more experience than ZZ, head to head is 2-1 in flavor for SWH...
