    FINAL ORDER OF PLAY (12.30pm) => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...030112-393D-4D7C-A368-7BAC59A490EE&d=20161023

Seven different nations have representative in today's final describe how badminton is developing on right track, Thailand impressive outcome in this event showed by their two representatives also JPN and KOR as well. Host Denmark alongside with China, Malaysia and Chinese Taipei have one each. A first ever Superseries tournament final for Tanongsak, Isara/Phuangphuapet and Goh/Tan.

WD, Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (JPN) v Jung Kyung Eun/Shin Seung Chan (KOR)
    H-2-H stats : 3-2 / WR : 1 v 3

An ideal final where top and second seed facing each other in last round, world number one and the Olympic Champion affirm their status as current best WD combination, entered final in Japan and here post Rio Olympic Games. Matsutomo/Takahashi have slight advantage to deny Jung/Shin defend their title considering the Japanese solid pair downed the Korean in last meeting, Rio Olympic Games semifinal. Jung/Shin edged past Indonesian best combination, Polii/Maheswari in tight battle and powered past Pedersen/Juhl at last eight. They skipped JPN Open and won KOR crown, a growing confidence after bagged Rio bronze.

MS, Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk (THA) v Son Wan Ho (KOR)
    H-2-H : 0-2 / WR : 18 v 7
Grabbing title in THA GP Gold couple of weeks ago boosts Tanongsak confidence to check into final of high level tournament here. He had trouble at opening round and quarterfinal against Praneeth and local teenager Antonsen and outplayed Brice Leverdez in one-sided semifinal tie, the Frenchman shocked hot favourite Lee Chong Wei earlier. Two finals in a row for Son Wan Ho after failed to top podium at his homeground Superseries recently, he also cruise into last round in Odense two years ago but lost to Chen Long. A pretty convincing performance along this tournament by Son to pass Vittinghus, Zwiebler, Lee Hyun Il and only troubled by Chinese promising star, Shi Yuqi at last eight.

XD, Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christina Pedersen (DEN) v Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen (CHN)
    H-2-H : 1-0 / WR : 7 v 13
A sole survivor for both nations, former champion Fischer/Pedersen exhibited steely determination, trailed behind 14-18 against The Adcocks at second game the Danish finest grabbed 7 consecutive points to seal the match and took revenge over their painful losing in Rio Games. Chinese new star, Zheng/Chen prove their high talent, having finals in last three Superseries, AUS Open, JPN Open, KOR Open and continue to DEN Open, what a stunning achievement of the rookies. They're struggling to clear hurdle at first three round and once again knocked out senior teammate Lu K/Huang YQ at semifinal.

MD, Bodin Isara/Nipitphon Phuangphuapet (THA) v Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong (MAS)
    H-2-H : 1-2 / WR : 27 v 7
Both finalists seek maiden Superseries title, the Malaysians performance indicated positive trend after clinch Rio silver and they're more favoured to finish as a champion here. Thailand pair produced excellent feat to down two Indonesian rivals en route into their final including the toughest hurdle Gideon/Sukamuljo at quarterfinal. Goh/Tan have more complicated test starting from first round, faced Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan then followed by Rio bronze Ellis/Langridge, Chinese sensational pair, Li JH/Liu YC and home favourite Boe/Mogensen.

WS, Akane Yamaguchi (JPN) v Tai Tzu Ying (TPE)
    H-2-H : 2-3 / WR : 10 v 6
Women's singles is awarded to close final this evening and expected to present an interesting duo between Japan prodigy Yamaguchi and Taiwanese skillful player Tai TY. Recent KOR Superseries winner thwarted the never give-up Olympic Champion Carolina Marin for final berth in gruelling 82 minutes tie, the Spaniard Marin showed strong fighting spirit to take second game despite looked fatigue after played marathon match at three previous rounds and got medical treatment yesterday. On court 2 earlier INA Premier champion Tai also had difficulty to dispose Hong Kong surprise package Cheung Ngan Yi in rubber games.

The results are fairly predictable and I cant resist looking at my crystal ball.
WD : JPN pair MM/AT to win after a closely fought match.
MS : SWH to win over TS who has impressed with his fast attacking play.
XD : Chinese combo Zheng/ Chen to beat fancied home pair of Fischer/ Christina.
MD: Probably most contested match with MAS edging out THA.
WS: TTY to win if she can outplay the mercurial skills of AY .
    What do other BCers think?

Haven't watched a single match this tourney. Just having trouble to feel that 'première' aura this year.
This tourney used to be one of my fav, but after all those retirements announced, players taking break after the extravaganza and those aweful unfortunate injuries took all the juice out of the tourney.
Anyways, extremely happy for AY, ZSW/CQC and Brice Leverdez.

The organisers change the order of play. Last night TS showed the XD match to be last.

Congrats to MM/AT . They faltered in the first set after taking an early lead.
The Koreans dont seem to have had the same tenacity and drive as in the early matches and comitted a number
    of unforced errors.

Yes Ialso wonder why the Koreans made so many unforced errors that give away free points to the Japanese WD.

It's funny how the Thai player completely destroyed Brice Leverdez who beat LCW the day before. Guess he was physically exhausted...

TS is often so late to the net shots and most of the times plays a tight net shot. I don't know why SWH doesn't step forward for the kill.

Everything is working for TS. Excellent net play, good smashes and even winning the long rallies.

TS is impressive in his placement of shots and the pin point accruacy of his smashes. SWH has to
work very hard to salvage this second set.
