The CHN pair just needs more experience, and the only way to do it is, well, to gain it with more exposure and active , frequent competition. They are only 21 years old, time is on their side.

He's tired of being away from family since age 18. He'll still be playing international leagues.

Congratulations to Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeong Seong for winning the Korean Open for the last time. I am so happy to see Lee Yong Dae to be able to end his international career on top as winner.

이용대 / 유연성에 승리에 대한 축하!

AKane is the only "odd man" out in the finals.

What a lucky guy at the venue to fetch LYD's racket!

Akane's strong pair of legs (outsized thighs), amazing court coverage.

Characteristic of JPN WS, running, scrambling and getting a lot back, superb retrieving ability.

Akane's stamina is better than Sung's , clearly. But SJH's height and reach is a bit problematic for AY.

Suing Ji Hyun is too tired to smash hard the half court returns, and Akane manages to get them back time and again.

Like I said to Qidong, how can it be without Chen Long, Li Xuerui (or HBJ or SY), and their top WD pair (Luo twins just don't make the cut) ?

Lin Dan unlikely to go Destination Dubai, even if he qualifies. Chen Long as Olympic Champion has automatic qualification.

Qiao Bin's attack and defense have to be nearly as good as Chen Long's to beat Son Wan Ho who is super fit, makes very few mistakes and has quite good strokes (though no killer weapon, imo).

Qiao Bin is 23 years of age already, the right time to raise his game another level. Hope to see him move up in the top 8 soon.

QB's smash is not DTL, not close enough to the sideline.

Qiao Bin had better not play like Tian Houwei whose game is easy to read, mostly.

A very good jump smash but don't lift casually, QB.

Yes, straight DTL smash close to the sideline this time, forcing SWH to stretch a bit for it.

As far as I remember, SWH is always at his best playing in Korea.
