Qiao Bin seems to have tighten his game, not many loose shots now. He takes G1 from Chou TC by a clear margin 21-14, unexpectedly.

But CTC is a very smart player, once he dictates the rally, he knows how to finish it off with a high rate of success. Particularly, never lifts predictably to him, it 'll will come back crashing on you at lightning speed.

Not bad, so far Qiao Bin is matching CTC blow for blow.

Chinese players have changed their game . I can clearly see the difference in their style. Not explosive . But effective. But we have to wait and see whether it will give them the confidence they needed.

And QB is reading CTC's game better, not very well yet but enough to stay close.

Qiao Bin is getting it right, well done, he's giving CTC a taste of his own medicine. A straight two-set victory is his reward for playing smart.

Strange. While the male coach giving tips to Akane during interval, the female coach stood 4 steps back as if she should not come near him while he was coaching. After he went to his seat, she came near Akane and started coaching.

Is it a norm in japan?

    - Huang Yuxiang (CHN) v Ajay Jayaram (IND)
    - He Bingjiao (CHN) v Minatsu Mitani (JPN)

The highest seeded player in MS department, Jan O Jorgensen smashed Sony Dwi Kuncoro in second game after troubled by current SIN Superseries winner in opening game. The Danish favourite will take on another tough test in next round, the vast experienced Lee Hyun Il. Local hopeful Son Wan Ho dumped Chinese promising star Shi Yuqi in two quick sets and is favoured to progress into last eight. It's mixed fortune for Indian squad, 8th seed Srikanth is back to flop performance, thwarted by Vincent Wong while Prannoy and Kashyap also coudn't clear first hurdle, lost to TPE youngster Wang Tzu Wei and 4th seed Tian Houwei, leaving Praneeth and last year beaten finalist Ajay Jayaram in last sixteen. Two Chinese back-ups passed round one, Huang YX knocked out Lee DK while Qiao Bin has learned his previous losings to beat more favoured Chou Tien Chen this time

Sung Ji Hyun leads Korean ladies to manage good run at home soil so far in the absence of top stars, the stunning result was created by Lee Jang Mi who sent packing Sun Yu, a runner-up of JPN Open last Sunday. Sung is expected to meet Tai Tzu Ying if the Taiwanese talent eliminates local underdog Kim Na Young. Bottom half of draw offers more appealing plot, He Bingjiao has tough rival, Minatsu Mitani, all Japan affairs will pit Sayaka Sato against Akane Yamaguchi and Ratchanok Intanon gets Chinese opponent Chen Yufei.

Home star Lee YD/Yoo YS will start their campaign tomorrow against Chinese new combo, Liu XL/Lu K. A shaky performance by second seed Chai/Hong to drop first game before won over Astrup/Rasmussen, another challenging opponent wait them next, Inoue/Kaneko. In WD discipline, Vivian Hoo/Woon KW were shocked by home unranked pair Go AR/Kim HI at first round.

I think it is very hard for Iskandar to beat Qiao Bin as the latter beaten well experienced Chou Tien Chen in straight games, and that is very rare for any low ranked players to beat top players...
