Sun Yu's retrieving ability has improved considerably. And she has learnt to capitalize on her height and reach.

 

Didn't expect HBJ to pull another rabbit out but she did it again, coming back from behind to win in straight sets. If Sun Yu beats Akane in the other court, it'd be an all-Chinese women singles final. Haven't seen that in a while.

The CHN MS young cohort did remarkably well at the INA Masters the other week, here it's the CHN WS 2nd tier to carry it off.

Chen Jin must be quite pleased, I believe he's under pressure to bring his young charges up to speed as quickly as possible to fill the void left by LXR et al.

 

I still feel Sun Yu must attack more, improved on that, instead of lifting so much. Also play a bit more nets, esp x-nets.

 

Glad I am wrong on this result. Surprised that Akane actually looked tired to me towards the end of G2. Nothing to look up to in the WS tomorrow, while in the MS it is LCW's title without any doubt.

I think,Sun Yu appeared the more fatigued of the two, it's just that she handled the crucial points better, unlike before.
