SYQ has to learn to read LCW's game better, never easy, just like Chen Long could, or he stands no chance against him despite occasionally showing flashes of brilliance.

Chen Long was well-schooled by LCW, and this is what Shi Yuqi is lacking by much.

Xia Xuanze, who is fully conversant with LCW's game, knows what advice to give SYQ but can the youngster grasp the finer points and execute it right ? Takes time, intelligence, maturity and experience to do it.

Tough fight match at court 1 between the 2 Japanese WS. But I guess Nozomi Okuhara holds the edge to win this match.

CL crossed LCW and LD many times, that's what made him today, when LCW and LD gone, Chen Long will be untouchable until retirement...

Shi Yuqi has just attended a first-rate and rare but extremely valuable lecture and comes away deeply impressed, humbled and overwhelmed.

What a close shave at court 3. Finally Marc Zwiebler won over Sirkanth with the score of 21-19 at the third set. Wow. Congratulations Marc Zwiebler for playing so well to enter the semifinals.

Pity that Srikanth could not hold on to his lead and lose in the second set of the match. From that onwards Marc Zwiebler capitalise on it and won the third set.

Wow Akane just won over Nozomi in the first set. Looks like Akane Yamaguchi is coming up.

Yes, indeed, it's Chen Long's good fortune to be schooled by two of the greatest players of all time, and he's come out a great disciple himself, thanks to the two supreme masters.

That's why I'm very pleased to see LCW still around, if only to help 'train' the young up-and-comers to get up to speed and be among the very best as soon as possible.

This is a newly formed MD pair of Kim Gi Jung / Ko Sung Hyun versus Lee Yang / Lee Jhe-Huei. Wow who will win this match? I am expecting a tough fight.

I glanced at the livescore and saw Marc trailing at one point, and thought Srikanth is going to take it. Marc is a never-say-die fighter.

The newly formed MD pair is doing a good job at court 2 leading 7-4 now. Meanwhile the Chinese Taipei MD is not bad too playing very well too.

Akane's early induction into the senior circuit is bearing fruit for her unlike her peer He Bingjiao who's only starting to play regularly at the senior level lately after she's no longer eligible for the junior tournaments.

Time for HBJ to make up for all the lost opportunities, esp when all three of CHN WS mainstays are out of action. The other one is of course Sun Yu who has to step up to the plate as quickly as possible while Chen Yufei is still having to compete at the junior level.
