"Opposite half" in the draw is referred as "Next half district" (!?) . My goodness. New meaning to the translation.
    Very good translation google.

I'm surprised that LCW isn't taking a short break after the huge Olympic disappointment. Maybe that's his way of venting his frustration. Looking forward to seeing him play.

Watch out for Tin Thick Williams. However, I am sure World brother Lee Chong Wei will lose early. No way, he has recovered from another disappointment so soon. Thailand Vinsanity still playing at 42 BTW?

    Obligations to his sponsor Yonex.
If not mistaken, there was 1 yr, LCW was supposed to withdraw due to injury/illness/tiredness but showed up cos Yonex asked.

I see, in that case, Lin Dan too but he's withdrawn. Perhaps Lin Dan has got a better deal. Just saying.

Not surprised to see LCW playing to be honest, hasn't he played Japan Open 2012, as well? I remember an interview with Marc Zwiebler in which he said that Chong Wei's problem is that he just cannot say no. Even if he'd ask him to play German league games, he [Zwiebler] thinks that Chong Wei would still think about it... :D

The problem for LCW is really that there's no one to train with him so he has to use matches for training...

Not really. She does not care about Superseries but plays to the heart in big tournaments. Hence the result.

" She could also be .."? - who else you are referring to?

I think she should care otherwise she gets bad draw like she did in Rio and then it is very hard to win something. She should at least aspire to be in top 5. Just look at her opponents in Olympics. R16 TTY, QF Wang Yihan, SF NO, Final CM. No wonder she looked tired from G2 and G3 of the final match. She has to be consistent in SS if she want to win titles.

Relatively speaking, P V Sindhu got the toughest route to the final at Rio'16.

Clashing with National Sport Week (PON) in Indonesia, only 3 players will be sent to Japan Open ie. Tommy Sugiarto, Sonny Dwi Kuncoro and Setiawan/Ahsan.
