well, he did just win a gold in MD. So it's too early to say whether Zhang Nan will play XD only for Tokyo.
Congrats to the winners. Bravo. So close.... ld almost did the 3 og record. Am sure aomeone in the future will get 3 og. Not sure its our lifetime.
pity the Malaysian goh tan, felt victims similar to Kim Kim. they going to have a few sleepless nights thinking how close the game was and they would have just won it. and their government incentives awards had they won.
That's it, the media in Malaysia is just not sensible ..... especially when it comes to Malaysian badminton and football results.
IMO, it more of their form that decides their standard of play for the day. Unfortunately, they are not very consistent. While they do show flashes of brilliance, they seem unable to sustain it throughout the match. Well we could say they are good players but i am not impressed by their career performance. Not top tier players imo. Personally i don't think zn/fhf played their best game in the finals. ZN seems abit nervy, unforced errors coming off fhf racquet. But their experience and resilience help them win on the critical pt. My two cents worth
A few have already done so, just not in badminton. I think the effort in badminton is too much to be at the top for 3 continuous Olympics - closest we have is Fu Haifeng.
I dunno how MSF will play out....but this MD IMO is the closet that MAS to get that elusive gold, why? why? why? this is so cruel....that freaking net, maybe tonight when I played baddy, I gonna burn that net
I agree. The odds of repeating this feat in 2020 is against the mas pair.. but we'll never know. only time will tell Ermmm...because it got in the way?
OK - so far the quality ranking of the finals matches are as follows:- 1. Women's Doubles - Misaki Matsutomo's Harry Potter magic. according to THAT GUY 2. Women's Singles - Pusarla Sindhu's great effort in stealing game 1 before falling to the banshee Carolina Marin 3. Men's Doubles - error ridden match that ended in Malaysian heartbreak ..... 4. Mixed Doubles - Indonesians steamrolled the Malaysians flat
When opportunity presents itself, take it...it may never come back. Someone should measure that net, is it too high???
