Zhang Nan has now won 2 gold medals: one in London and now one in Rio. (of course, a bronze here as well.)

Zhang Nan could still win two golds in Tokyo.

    He will surpass Park JB.

FHF just saved LYB's job by winning Gold. LYB must be nervous for tomorrow's MS final. I bet he is going to be there with XXZ.

Everyone expects at least one Korean pair to be in the final, but they crumble like domino cards under the enormous Olympic pressure.

Goh V Shem wasted many opportunities. Such a good smash yet insisted on sticking to drops and soft shots. Then service into the net at match point and smashed a sitter out.

Wow exhausted watching all this matches...
Good that it's over for today.

I was correct with my predictiin lcw and cm will win.
Sad to not see ld do the triple, it would have been absolute magic if he had taken it after saving 3 mp...

Now rooting for lcw to-morrow and hopefully the bronze medal match will be a good one, too

IMO, aside from their technical ability, one aspect of chinese players that generally sets them apart is their mental resilience.

Better than the GOAT, 2 Golds and 1 Silver ..... at best the GOAT can only have 2 Golds and 1 Bronze.

Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan bt Goh Wei Shem/Tan Wee Kiong, somewhat being assisted by luck :D

How the fate played on both pairs between the very fine line of gold and silver medals. Frankly just No clear line separated them in this gold medal match.

Now I guess Fu and Zhang may retire (in near future or some time later) with double consecutive Olympic golds.

Goh and Tan are still relatively young, they may try again in Tokyo 2020...

I would not count the chicken before they are hatch....this OLY was full of surprises...INA, KOR, JAP, DEN MDs out, who can predict that. As many said here, not many expect ZN/FHF to be in final let alone win it.

By 2020, the MAS pair should be in their late twenties, close to 30? May not be in their prime form?
