Next challenge for this Chinese future stars, none but reigning All England winner Jordan/Susanto. At the bottom-half of draw, the giant-killer Liu YC/Tang JH who shocked second seed Pedersen/Juhl at last sixteen couldn’t maintain their gallant run, thwarted by the much-improved, former world number three, Chan PS/Goh LY. The Malaysian duo have another Chinese hurdle in their way to book final ticket, Lu K/Huang YQ who beat teammates, Liu C/Bao YX in last eight. *MS Semifinals : - Anthony Ginting (INA) v Jeon Hyeok Jin (KOR) - Hans Kristian Vittinghus (DEN) v Srikanth Kidambi (IND) Two former world top ten, Hans Kristian Vittinghus and Srikanth Kidambi will set a semifinal showdown. Danish Thomas Cup winning team member, the resurgent Vittinghus subdued Sho Sasaki while Srikanth showed more patient game plan instead of his usual explosive style to overcome the less experienced opponent, 2013 World Junior Champion Heo Kwang Hee. Earlier in the morning, Jeon Hyeok Jin secured his maiden semifinal spot in Superseries tournament after Hong Kong veteran Hu Yun conceded walkover. Later in the evening, one of Indonesia promising talent, Anthony Ginting created career breakthrough to smash strong favourite, title-holder and two-time World Champion Chen Long with convincing fashion. Being quarterfinalist here completed Chen Long miserable tour in this season, a bad omen for Rio 2016 campaign as once again he fails to end title drought since October 2015. A rare and golden opportunity for these two rookies, Ginting & Jeon to grab first ever final in Superseries event, it will be interesting duel tomorrow. *WS Semifinals : - Sun Yu (CHN) v Li Xuerui (CHN) - Wang Yihan (CHN) v Saina Nehwal (IND) The underestimated Sun Yu scored big boost in her career along this tournament to beat two Japanese leading women’s singles who often trouble Chinese ladies in top level tournaments, Nozomi Okuhara and Akane Yamaguchi. The tall Chinese who has wide range and better court coverage outplayed Yamaguchi particularly in second game. A blockbuster quarterfinal duel in this category saw Saina Nehwal was better than former World Champion Ratchanok Intanon here, Thai's number one lost her momentum after the cool Nehwal took first set as she controlled and dictated the pace in second game. At adjacent court, the strong-willed Wang Yihan took revenge over her INA Premier final defeat to Tai TY. Her fellow countrywoman, the Olympic Champion, Li Xuerui joined China powerful squad in semifinal line-up after defeated Wang Shixian. A classic meeting between Wang v Nehwal, the statistics favours to the lanky Chinese, 11-4. *MD Semifinals : - Berry Angriawan/Rian Agung Saputro (INA) v Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi (INA) - Liu Cheng/Zheng Siwei (CHN) v Markus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (INA) Indonesian men's doubles pairs look unstoppable to grab top honour in the absence of their major rivals, Korean combinations. Recent IND Superseries champion Gideon/Sukamuljo stunned more favoured opponent Fu HF/Zhang N in two quick games and will take on another Chinese pair, the unranked Liu/Zheng. At top-half draw, INA Masters GP Gold winner Angriawan/Saputro will face their former partner Pratama/Suwardi. These three pairs are expected to enhance their capability and maintain consistency in upcoming tournaments as Ahsan/Setiawan show unstable performance and down to hill lately. *WD Semifinals : - Bao Yixin/Chen Qingchen (CHN) v Naoko Fukuman/Kurumi Yonao (JPN) - Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang (CHN) v Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii (INA) Bao/Chen progressed to last four without lifting their racquet as top-seed Matsutomo/Takahashi gave walkover. Next, China new experimenting partnerships will face last year World Championships bronze medalist, Fukuman/Yonao who had first game trouble against Chae YJ/Kim JW at last eight before ran smoothly in next game. Another semifinal tie will pit two familiar elite pairs, current world number two Tang/Yu against Incheon Asian Games Maheswari/Polii. The Indonesians won their last meeting in IND Superseries quarterfinal, first ever victory of six meetings between them. Both pairs knocked out their opponent comfortably, Tang/Yu had tough match against Vivian Hoo/Woon KW at second round. LIVE TV (01.00pm, Court 1) matches : 1) Lu Kai/Huang Yaqiong (CHN) v Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying (MAS) 2) Hans Kristian Vittinghus (DEN) v Srikanth Kidambi (IND) 3) Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang (CHN) v Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii (INA) 4) Wang Yihan (CHN) v Saina Nehwal (IND) 5) Liu Cheng/Zheng Siwei (CHN) v Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (INA)
Very possible. It's easier for the ladies to do double duty successfully than the men. Zhang Nan is obviously struggling. Zhao Yunlei seems less successful nowadays which I attribute partly to her age catching up, 29, born 25 Aug 1986, and partly to the need to play many tournaments in order to get into the top 8 R2R Standing for WD, as such she has little time to rest and recuperate between tournaments from minor ailments (and a small but nagging injury sometime end last year, I remember).
My final prediction : Srikanth vs Ginting Yihan vs Xuerui Marcus/Kevin vs Angga/Ricky Tang/Yu vs Bao/Chen Lu/Huang vs Praveen/Debby
The way SN played today she looked desperate to have a good tourney before the mega event! But, WYH undoubtedly has the momentum plus the way she avenged her last week's def against TTY it'll be an uphill drive

I have a feeling , saina will enter finals. Yihan is in wonderful form lately. But in recent months, there is no chinese player who won SS tourney. Since Saina is the only chinese player out of 4, she has to enter in order to make it happen.
Anthony Ginting is one of the most exciting players to emege in this tournament. His explosive smashes and bewildering speed left an under performing Chen Long stranded. I hope he makes it to the final.
Hello and welcome to the the spectacular city of Sydney, Australia! The semifinals day starts now, I love the GC opening summary
WYH is unpredictable, unstable, and last week at the INA PSS she was stretched thin by Sung JH and Marin before tanking in the final. I think Saina has the edge today.
The Jia You fans v IN-DO-NE-SIA trademark shouting are getting louder to motivate their players at court 2.

I am watching the match of this XD at court 2. I really love Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen. Both may be young but they have this in them. The attacking power and that powerful smash. Amazing. Way to go man. This XD pair should be pair up together permanently. They have what it takes to be a successful and good XD. Congratulations.
At such a young age Zheng Siwei has proven that he is an extremely good player. Congratulations. You are on the right track to win. I love you Zheng Siwei. You are so good.... This is what I call a good and talented player.
