I feel bad for JOJ, being as tall as he is, his fast playing style has caused him to rack up quite a few injuries-- only under 180cm players like LD and LCW should playing like that, and only when they have mastered the kind of footwork/mobility the Asians are trained in.

But JOJ will probably be fielded nevertheless, if Denmark fields Vittinghus as 2nd MS, they will be forced to field Emil Holst against Chong Wei Feng-- Emil might have a height advantage, but despite the age difference, Emil is nowhere as fast/agile or as experienced/steady as Wei Feng.

Depends on how MS2 and MS3 perform. I'm curious to see if Iskandar can withstand the pressure

KSR is a bit over confident and arrogant.

Iskandar has really grown not only physically, but also in skills. I think he is MAS future star provided he takes good care of himself and continues to learn under the master LCW.

China team is just not as strong as it used to be. Chen Hong, Lin Dan and Chen Jin for three singles and Fu, Cai for one doubles. They are much weaker now.
    Good for everyone else.

I know it is still too early. CHN MD2 can win the 2nd set to force a decider but if MAS eventually meets INA in the final, it will be a event to be remembered. MAS vs. INA all over again... :)

Hahah, glad someone remembers -- even the GOAT learnt you must pay for your arrogance/nonchalance.... but apparently WR No.1 Chen Long still hasn't

Cai Yun (MD Olympic Champion with Fu Hafeng) got really emotional when he was guest commentating on CCTV5: "I can't believe Chen Long said (during the post-game interview) nothing about the preparation except that he could have handled the pressure better-- isn't that what you prepare for (what/how to play under pressure) as WR No.1? No.1 isn't a title you get "awarded" with, it is something you earn with your results; Peter Gade, LCW, etc were all playing at LD's level, and it's clearly LD's mental qualities that give him the edge!"

Wow China youngsters fighting back. Only a point separates them. But then KOR unleashed a gigantic smash and ended China's chances for a second time.

Now this is interesting from now onwards.
Congrats to those who won bets and dinners, etc.

Well, China out. I think both semis will be hard to predict. Perhaps Denmark vs. Korea in the finals? Depends on JOJ's condition...
