It's looking like a demolition job by ZSW/LJH on the French pair.

No doubt about it, Li Junhui has found himself a splendid partner in Zheng Siwei, perhaps vice versa as well.

Next is Tian Houwei's turn to play another Frenchman, also named Lucas.

    No more excuses, haha.
Thank goodness the GOAT won! Otherwise his goatee might be shorn off by LYB for losing to a Frenchman that is hardly heard of in Asia.
Even the Fox was keeping unusually quiet, crossing his paws and hoping the French will not succeed.

No Brice is not injured. He is given a good rest and will only be in action versus Mexico.

No, he is not at the Thomas cup.

He prefer preparing Rio, like not playing the Thomas cup would make a difference for the olympics

Thanks for the clarification. France team will surely miss him. Without him it is such a great lost to the France team.

Who knows. He can be pretty good when he want to, but is incosntant. Mostly when he is favorite in his match.

But to me personally Brice Leverdez is a good MS player. I surely hope Peter Gade will continue to do a good job for France team.

Someone talks as though he is the personal coach and protector of the GOAT and that he will never falter. If he does, there is always an excuse. Even before he falters, excuses start pouring in just in case. :D

We have seen how the GOAT has little regard for his coaches because he thinks he is better.

I like to see the underdog prevailing once a while. Just like when the WR1 lost in R32 to a nobody at the Athens Olympics! Otherwise the Fox would boast nobody could beat him with 3 Oly titles and one more coming.

He is. The proof is he beats ouseph and jorgensen during the european thomas cup (don't know it's name ). But still inconstant and very frustrating to see him losing match that he can won.

And that's why we don't see him much in super series. He lose match that he should won in challenge series.

Lucas Corvee's return of body smash is unusually good for such a tall player.

Brice is a good player. I watched his match against JOJ. He was outstanding in that match. But where is consistency. I hope he will get a good break in this year. He missed the opportunity of playing here. He would have got a valuable experience playing as MS1 against Chen Long had he participated in Thomas cup. Anyhow, we should respect his decision. Good luck to his future endeavour.

You know, you've just more or less vindicated what you've quoted from my post.

Can you imagine a 70% Lin Dan, excuses aside, could still beat an inspired Lucas Claerbout playing above himself - who knows who else he might have scalped the way he played - what it's like if Lin Dan were at 90-95%. Too bad, Lin Dan disappointed you by not screwing up today or else you and your kind would have a field day, and obviously it has little to do with your supporting the underdog, the way you keep reminding us what happened 12 years ago is proof of it.

I agree, Brice Leverdez is a very good player, just too inconsistent, hopefully Peter Gade can help him in that regard.
