Frankly no use giving excuses on behalf of LD. He has been rested. Full credit to lowly Lucas.

Lin Dan's smashes are so mild today, and sluggish as well. Still, all credit to Lucas for such a spirited fight.

Lucas is playing inspired badminton so far but working harder as well, running around more.

Yeah, Lin Dan is not allowed to have any excuses, others yes, because he is Lin Dan; therefore he deserves to lose.

With such a great difference in world ranking, how else but to try to get every point to frustrate your better opponent.

Not a single power smash from Lin Dan, only stick smashes, half smashes, and placement shots.

Looks like Lucas can't keep up his breakneck pace, expending too much energy. Let's see how he cope in the decider.

Just now Son Wan Ho won his game by a whisker 21-19 21-19.

Now Lee Dong Keun also won his game by a whisker 22-20 21-18.

Looks like Korea MS performance are not impressive enough.

Lin Dan is making Lucas run all over the court, scrambling here and there.

USA team is so pitiful. Yesterday they are trashed flat by Korea. Today they are trashed flat by Chinese Taipei.

And to add to their misery their best WS Zhang Beiwen couldn't even play and contribute a point to USA.

A rare Lin Dan jump smash, a full-bodied one.

Lin Dan still so relaxed and casual, very much playing a controlled game all the way.

Lucas is very tired. It's clearly visible.

    LOL

You people are panicking like LD has booked court for half an hour and will pay uncle Loh $20 as a punishment for extra staying.

Why on earth will he want to finish the match so quickly? Feel the conditions, get the mood going, excite the crowd, make Clearbowled suffer a bit, some fancy show boating. You know LD - The GOAT has a lot of responsibility.

Funny fans and critics. But Fox saves the day again.

A one-way traffic in G3 for Lin Dan to wrap it up, practically pushing Lucas to the back and pulling him to the front covering all four corners, energy-sapping.
