This tournament is quite important. It is of the utmost importance that LD finishes the qualification period with rank n.2, as to face CL in the semis at the OLY would be catastrophic for the Chinese camp and his fans.

There's no Ct2 livestream, and even Ct 1 LS is on and off or slow to come on. Annoying.

What a flying start for Chen Long, racing to 13-1. Is he for real ?

What's happening to Indonesian senior women's singles players? If Fitriani could give Saina Nehwal a very good workout, surely they could do better than scoring 10 pts in a game.

21-4, against a player of Jeon Heok Jin's caliber ? I remember Chen Long did something similar to Hsu Jen Hao before, a low single digit score.

He is not coming back from injury. Korea only send senior veteran players for tournaments. Due to lack of experience he lost badly today.

G2 returns to normalcy, either Chen Long takes his foot off the pedal or Jeon HJ pulls himself up by the bootstraps.

Rio Qualification ended doesn't mean Rio seeding progress stop. LD still have 2 big chances to increase the possibility to have better seeding place.

The result here is less important than Thomas Cup. If the purpose for seeding progress, he will do a maximum effort in Indonesia SSP and Australia SS but not here I think.

Looks like it is a tough fight now for Lee Dong Keun versus Srikanth match at court 1. Both won one set each. The third set will decide the winner.

Ranking wise, doing well here (SS level) is slightly better than in Aus SS. Why? Because of how team tournaments provide ranking points to players. The Thomas Cup ranking points earned will mostly be made up of the average of the 10 best tournaments, which will include this tournament, but not Aus SS.

Sorry,I have done some calculations myself and I don't think LD will get to number 2. So,doesn't matter if 2nd round exit or Finals.

Secondly.i am not too bothered by seeding.Whether he has to beat Chen Long in the semi finals or Lee Chong wei,it doesn't matter both are equally strong.

Very much agree! That was a very ignorant statement, WS is individually as demanding as MS. People seem to have missed a few biology class: Physically, Women and Men have incredible biological difference.

I was too lazy to make the calculation myself, so I just supposed LD was driving for n.2 spot.
But regarding the OLY, I agree with you CL and LCW are both very tough opponents. The worst is to have to meet them both, in the semis, then in the final!
