Yes. Kento did not do anything better to beat his opponent today when opponent himself is ready to give everything.

KS is not at all in the match.

Let's see how he fare against some of the big names considering his higher rank.

Look mate, rising and dropping in rankings has nothing to do with neither the potential of the player nor the skills or for that matter talent he has in the particular sport!! Even players like Caroline Wozniacki or Jelena Jankovic went on to become W#1s KS had a rough patch by his standards, for an analogy take WYH or infact LXR! Players like SJH can rise to top3 too!!
Its a particular day which decides win or loose and one match doesn't depict anything! As far as home support is concerned that is the advantage of helding tourneys, the overall h2h is enough to depict however its always on oneself to either accept or ignore it! We all know how talented or rather I should say skillful he is! Inconsistency is his inner demon, but that takes away hardly anything of his potential
    Cheers

He did, and he put pressure on Srikanth the same way he did at the Dubai Superseries finale, Momota moves quicker, smashed harder and was more consistent throughout. I'm sorry for your favorite player but this is just an objective assessment.

Who says he didn't have potential or skills? I only said Momota has grown to be a better player than him, in terms of speed, stamina, self-confidence and consistency. Nothing you said contradicts my statement.. Of course Srikanth is talented otherwise he wouldn't be in the top 10, but that's a whole other subject.

I watched the entire match. Kento did not do anything spectacular or anything like that. KS simply smashing into the net, lifting out and what else i missed. Are you kidding me? Kento is quicker than KS?. Really ! Not at all. I know Kento is your favourite player. But i must say he is the only player who still finding ways to beat either one of the trio Lindan , chen long or LCW.

Let's agree to disagree then :)

Although I stand by my statement that Momota has grown to be a better player than Srikanth and really dominated him in the last encounters in terms of shot selection, speed/ pace of shots, self-confidence and most importantly consistency.

End of the discussion for me.

    summary

Herry IP: “Hendra/Ahsan target merebut gelar juara”

herry ip: hendra/ahsan's target is champion

“Dari ganda putra, Hendra/Ahsan saya targetkan untuk merebut gelar juara. Sementara untuk ganda putra lainnya, minimal harus bisa mengalahkan pemain-pemain unggulan. Saya sudah mewanti pemain, siapapun lawannya harus tetap waspada. Tetap fokus juga pada persiapan diri sendiri,” kata Herry seperti kami kutip di situs resmi PBSI, Badmintonindonesia.org.

"in men's double, ahsan/hendra i target them to become champion. other md pairs, at least they can beat top players. i have warned players to keep ready whoever their opponent is. keep focus on our own preparation," says herry as we quote from pbsi official website badmintonindonesia.org

The unbelievable has just happened ! Both MAS MD pairs stormed to the QF assuring a semifinal berth for MAS. Too bad tho, since I believe both pairs are actually in the right form now, possible even going further ! Can't contain my excitement , hope this match will be streamed on TV court tomorrow ( chances are slim since it involves 2 same nation )

GOH/TAN have been so impressive lately... They are really great team, they always give everything and have this "never give up" attitude.

Yihan - Bingjio is actually really interesting, the most veteran chinese WS player against the youngest emerging talent. First game won by Yihan 21-18

Praneeth is on fire, and he should be after the incredible upset he created yesterday. Let's see if he can keep his momentum throughout the second set.
