Does anyone know if the Ashaway VTC's or Voltronics are still available in Singapore?

Yep, I had. With a couple of my Ashaway rackets.
Although I blame mostly on the poor handling during delivery. I'd suggest to go to Pacific Sports and hand it over for inspection. Based on my experience they're rather loyal and will provide you a substitute if it's not your/stringer fault.

Did the handle crack starting from the screw? I think this might happen when you put smth heavy on top of it (kinda sit on a lying racket). Shaft holds well since it's quite flexible (even for the stiff models) but as handle is very rigid it just cracks...

In my experience specs stated on the shaft of X-Speed match the reality perfectly. I.e. 86g and 287mm. That's for an unstrung and ungripped racket.

4U, 84g, medium stiff, even balance. Edge slightly heavier in head. That's all I know from retailer.

Can you comment on the sweet spot of the X-speed? Seeing the racket is more oval, I am assuming it will be less forgiving if you hit the shuttle a bit off center?

Where are those new Ashaway rackets available from? No news on them from Goode sport in the UK.

The difference is very minor when you compare heads side by side. Personally I don't feel any drop in accuracy when I play with X-speed. And I play it a lot recently. The balance of characteristics is quite right to me.

wow, biribiri, you are really a die hard fan for Ashaway. Looks like the super light is a lot more head heavier than what I had been told. From Nikman?

Interestingly Goode-sports specifies Phantom X-Speed as Mid/Head Heavy at 287mm BP while Superlight Phantom as Head Light at... 297mm. Confusing, m?! :)
