Japan lead 4-0. India should give a walkover in WD2 and let Sindhu rest for the quarters.

To be honest with you Malaysia stand no chance to win this match versus Japan. This is because Malaysia have fielded their best players and best team here. Malaysia shown an extremely good performance today and I so proud of them although I am not a Malaysian.

The MD 1 young pair managed to give the Japanese MD pair tough fight before losing the match.

Then Iskandar did a good job to win his match.

The MD 2 is extremely good today. The newly formed MD pair had a young superstar Tan Kian Meng who did a good job. Being transitioned from MS to XD then this year MD he managed to win the second s 21-15. Not bad.

Well in that case!!
If you think over again only CHN has realistic chances
Let's suppose no mental or team spirit interfere in between
Then, even if NO def WSX
I believe SY can outclass Sayaka also
Even though its an uphill task Chen Yufei can shatter Yui's hope in WS3
Also both CHN WD1 and WD2 looks fav to me!!
Summary if the first match momentum doesn't come into play and CY/HBJ believe in themselves it can be a 4-1 victory for CHN if not WS2, WD1 and WD2 will be enough for CHN ladies! I add again if and only if no mental or psychic advantages/disadvantages comes in between

Exactly!! I am worried for her there are only few tourneys that can improve your rankings b4 Rio OG and she is missing easy opportunities to gain pts

Well they won g1.. But never get excited as this is JPN ladies and they can always win in 3 games even if they trail.. PV is already tired and Sikki isn't experienced enough I have a gut feeling we will see a lopsided g3

And to be honest I am so proud of the Malaysian players today. I am astounded by Tan Kian Meng, Iskandar and Soong Joo Ven extremely good performance today. They did a great job to steal a match from Japan who send in their best team.

What would a player like her do with points??? Rankings for her are just as immaterial as for LD, LCW or the Dragon trio. Everyone knows that even if she is 16 on the cutoff date (mathematical impossibility), she still can humiliate anyone, including WYH and CM.

:) :) :) :) :)
Great positives from Ruth, just as I was starting to look down at the closed end of the barrel. IIRC, YH has beaten SN twice, including once in India (don't remember whether it was Lucknow or Delhi), but SN held MP b4 a howler from the chair....
Good tidings for UC, if Ruth can be pushed to be WS3 and provided proper exposure... WD looks as terrible as XD. While MD is rising.... Great job by the boys. Never believed, I will live to see us beat China.... It's like beating Brazil in football. But unfortunately panauti Kashyap will be back for TC and oppositions will be full strength

It's easier to be objective, coz I ain't crazy bout her like I was (and still am for KS). The should hv been best in the world (by now) had no French business to lose 5 times to a journeyman no hoped who is at best the 3rd or 4th best in his country.

I guess Saina is still the best player for India.

Yeah of course!! But God forbids if she get a tough draw its whole lot of diff scenario!! Even for players like LD getting a tough draw in a contest as imp as OG its not only physically tiring but also mentally!!
When you know you can be def by your opponent even if you loosen up for a sec it takes a toll on you mentally!! If you have the likes of WYH, LXR, WSX, CM, RI, TTY one after other even a slightest mistake can push you out!! Its better to score pts and get a secured QF or even SF!! And then you can gather all your strengths and top the podium.. If you have fresh legs and haven't tested to the wire in early rounds you are more favored to win the finale against your equally good opponent who hasn't been lucky enough

Fan123 just imagine if SN looses to CM/LXR in SF or QF because she got a poor draw due to less pts!! And players like SJH just because of the seeding system reaches SF easy!! Well that would be a waste! We all know its not only talent that takes you to the top of the podium
