^ yeah the team is complete unlike other nations the host India is fielding a full team.. I don't think they'll get a chance to play... Satwik/Chirag Shetty haven't played together before, correct?
They teamed up once for the Cochin Senior Nationals and won the MD title. They are expected to team up in future on a regular basis. They are fearless and play with passion.
Krishnaprasad Garaga is part of the Gopichand academy and will continue to get top class coaching, Tan Her will assign a new partner. Chirag Shetty will not get access to Tan Her's coaching if he refuses to partner Satwik R. as he is not part of the Gopichand academy. MR Arjun will have to find a new partner on his own. Was Kashyap the right choice? 1.He is returning from injury. 2.His performance in team events is worse than individual BWF events. 3.He is mentally weaker in team events. 4.If Kashyap plays Prannoy or Ajay have to warm the bench. The girls are mentally stronger than the boys. They have the 2014 UBER bronze as a benchmark.
Exactly.. AJ is better in almost every single field than PK currently Nahh Prannoy is far more inconsistent.. He goes blank many a times when his attack isn't working. For instance his match against TS recently in PBL AJ is calm and surely mentally stronger plus he needs to get more and success for his betterment psychologicaly
based on the prospectus, the draw will be held on 2 Feb.. http://badmintonasia.org/wp-content...n-Asia-Team-Championships-2016-Prospectus.pdf
As per latest World Rankings dated 28th January 2016 released by BWF, Iskandar Zulkarnain is the 2nd highest Malaysian rank MS player behind Dato Lee Chong Wei, thus for Asia Team Championship he will play as Malaysia first MS. He should have no problem playing against Indian no.1 (Srikanth) and Korea no.1 (So Wan Ho) coz he managed to beat them in recently concluded Malaysia Masters 2016.
Actually these days nobody has a problem playing or in fact def SWH and for that matter yes KS is heavily inconsistent and often self destructs but I wonder if you missed the even more "recently concluded" match between KS and Iskandar ZZ in SM GPG.. He has little chances against others

Only top-two of each group will progress into quarterfinal round (knock-out stage). Men's team group C is interesting, THA v TPE will be close contest, INA should be wary to these two teams.
the official draw.. http://badmintonasia.org/wp-content...onships-2016-Group-Draw-2nd-February-2016.pdf
Women's team group D is tough. Japan and India will fight hard. In WS it is more or less equal, and in WD it depends on how will perform AP and Jwala
You are right! It is advantage Japan in doubles. Worst case, India will make knockouts as No.2 from Group WD. China has a strong Men's team, India will most probably qualify for Quarters as the No.2 from Group MA. Tough for Singapore to qualify in both Men's and Women's Team. Men's Group C is the "Group of Death".
Yes, Taiwan and Indonesia will also fight very hard. But we must give a slight advantage to Indo MD ; for MS, Tommy and Chou are equal ; the second and third MS are difficult to judge.
The post above reads China in two groups as far as the men team is concerned!! Assuming they are in group A India has no chances of making SF!! They'll qualify for the QF and of course will get a tough team and the same old fate returns!! Women team is rather more interesting IND can cross swords avainst JPN pretty well!! Provided SN is fit!! JG/AP delivered in UC and the Hyderabad crowd is huge Jwala maniac, I am expecting intriguing stuff
Tommy is in great form but I don't have much hope from the INA youngsters! They are looking blunt lately, also The TPE youngsters are completely evicted in the recent tourneys which means INA still has an upperhand MD is surely INA-favoured I bet it won't be that close
i bet the MAS men's team will not qualify for the Thomas Cup Finals for the very first time in badminton history...
