JOJ is the most inconsistent top player in the world. Momota will be the next big thing, I suspect Momota vs. Axelsen will be the rivalry to watch once CL retires.

Momota reminds me of Lin Dan, he seems to be playing very casually but somehow wins in the end.

Congratulations to your country Japan and you too. Japan is so lucky to have a good coach that guides their players to success. And congratulations to you personally too because your English proficiency is extremely good.

Looks good for Momota so far, just waiting him to beat Chen Long first. Haven't gotten very close yet.

Wow. So many unexpected results . Victor exposed Chen Long !. But he is a choker in the finals. My vote goes to Kento Momoto. How many times victor failed to grab a title?
Nine Tailed Fox, JOJ is better than CTC. But he does not deserve World no.2 ranking. No title this year. Even CTC did not get a superseries title this year? Did he?

Though K.Srikanth is out of form lately, he is better than many top 10 players this year. He entered 4 finals. Won 2 . One superseries title in them.

Though Victor plays well , he did not win a title. Did he?

Wow, Ahsan/Setiawan must have played properly after losing 3 match points. Will watch the rest of that with interest. Amazed they actually cared somewhat for this tournament. I think they cared about losing to their main rivals again.

Amazing that Axelsen didn't just beat CL, but thrashed him! Crazy. Could this be the match that makes MS more interesting next year?

And WYH extends her winning streak to 12-0 against RI. But no fear, Okuhara to the rescue with another thrashing of Marin! Well done Okuhara!

Okuhara thrashed WYH two months ago in straight sets. Can she do it again and win her biggest title yet?

Wow VA has really improved his defense. He will be a threat to all in Rio next year.

An incredible stat guys - Okuhara not only has yet to drop a set all tournament, but hasn't let anyone pass 16 points in a set. Probably the most dominant display in WS history in a tournament of this calibre.

I don't think so. Only if all tournaments are played with slow shuttlecocks.

Normally slow shuttles should benefit CL's game.

Agree, he beat Lee Chong Wei at least once thanks to slow conditions. Axelsen's steep smashes did not seem to suffer that much. Overall badminton in this tournament looks like the game they played 20 years ago. Just clears and drops, smashing very rarely. Especially women's doubles is terrible.

Okuhara managed to smash quite a few winners. She is amazing. If she can keep up her potent attack, she will be unbeatable.

CL has lost 3 times, twice to LCW consecutively and now 1st defeat to VA. Is he going downhill or his opponents have studied his game?

Rio would be exciting with VA and KT. They could be the dark horses if CL fumbles.
