This Li Yun is such a mannerless girl and swings racket after winning every point as if she wants to hit her opponent with it.Absolute Garbage.
Even though the spectators are few and the TV coverage horrible, hats off to Brazil's badminton promoters for organizing this event as best as they could.
It's also refreshing to see the winners pose for pictures with just a medal. At other venues, they are saddled with a trophy of some kind, a giant uncashable check, a bunch of fake flowers, some assorted bags and even a stuffed toy (it beats me why that should be there at all). They struggle to hold it all and still smile for the cameras.
Kudos to Li Yun who dares to attack when 15-19 down to go 20-19 but, unfortunately she failed to close it out, allowing deuce and after several matchpoints changing hands, narrowly lost 22-24. Actually, both ladies are tiring in the decider. I see promise in Li Yun.

Awarding the winners with medals and nothing else is following the practice of the Olympics which also includes offering a bouquet of flowers.
