Well, no point in arguing anymore, really...
your opinion: LCW could have never won that match ever (Olympics 2012 final), no way at all...
my opinion: It was a very, very close affair and it was anyones... And the luck was on LD's side in the end. (not saying that he got all his points by luck!)

    Let's leave it like that.

(the WC11 was also very very close...)

In the past, I used to rate LXR, WYH ,WSX, in that order. But of late , WSX has overtaken WYH. Significantly,WSX has beaten players whom WYH finds difficult, eg Saina, Sindhu, Marin, Nozomi.

Still, I won't be writing WYH off, do so at your own peril.

He has in fact a 25-9 record against LCW.

My statement was that LCW has the skills to beat LD - which he has done 9 times + being close a few times, not that he is a better player than the latter.

I don't know why you guys cannot admit that the Olympics 2012 could as well have been won by LCW... Some seem to see LD as some kind of invincible god who is unbeatable if he really wants to win, which is a ridiculous idea to me.

I think if CL, VA, Taufik and others peaked at the same time as LD, or LCW would be tougher mentally LD would have won a lot less titles (yes - also less majors). @ssj100 has made a good point about the era of LD/LCW being weak. :D

So the match of the day has ended with a great win go Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na. They won against both the Adcocks convincingly 21-14 21-11. Now this is the first time I will get to see an Indonesian XD vs a Korean XD in the final. I believe that based on their current good form they can win their match easily tomorrow. Nobody is great enough to stop them from winning tomorrow.

I am among them. For me all he needs to do to win is
    (a) wake up
    (b) brush teeth
    (c) reach stadium
    (d) play
    (e) win

And every single time he loses is a sensational upset. Like the last two weeks. And more than that the last WC and AE, coz he always raises his game for bigger stages and bigger opponents unlike LCW who used to give it all during all and sundry tourneys and from R1.

Well, then you would also agree with ssj100's other statement about LCW being the most Overrated player of all time....I find both the 'weak era' and 'LCW-most overrated' statements equally true(which you know, how much)
