And LD won't be the MS GOAT for me until he goes past Hartono statistically. Once he does, I will rush to coronated him.

I can't imagine anybody mentioning RH's name in the same breath as Lin Dan. For me, I'd go so far as to say that any of these guys, namely CL/LCW/TH/PG, is still better than RH. I mean RH is of such a long bygone era where the level and intensity of competition, not to say the technology/methodology in equipment and training, are worlds apart from the present time. There is also the issue of Tang XH and Hou JC being prevented for political reasons from competing with RH, and when CHN finally was admitted to IBF, CHN's Luan Jin duly beat RH in 1980 (81?). Anyway, to be honest, I'm not interested to discuss this trivial topic, pardon me for saying.

I thought WSX was going to lose G2 when 14-19 down but she came back strongly to reel off the next 7 pts for a straight two-set victory, amazing.

This would make him the most worthy Olympic champion.

But dude, this is call blinded nationalism that makes any rational discussion impossible.

    Fact:

    1. KS has never beaten CL and LCW.
    2. KS has a losing record against JOJ and LD, and tied record with KM.
    3. VA has never beaten KS.

How one on earth can claim that KS will beat all those 6 people in a single tournament is beyond me.

But yes, this is certainly possible. :D

Qualitative progress is an undeniable truth. That's why stats are sacrosanct.

CL is a doubt but I believe all others would be thrashed by him... Let time and tide to the things wise.. He'll come back soon my Herat says but the reality is he is not able to def freaking THW I mean 4 consecutive failures to a guy who lacks everything as compared to him.. Still the lamp of hope is alive

And I make bold to add, RH's 8 AE ( Svend Pri would dispute the circumstances under which he won the 8th one) cannot be equal to Lin Dan's 5 AE even, let alone his 5 WC and 2 OG. That's purely my personal opinion. Actually, their eras are so far apart in time that no meaningful comparisons can be made as so much has evolved over the intervening decades in all aspects of the sport. Pointless, an exercise in futility.

OK Fine. Then perhaps I shall refrain from this type of discussion.

But I am just curious. What happened to KS? He looked good last year and early this year. Then completely faded away recently. He is probably still the most promising player for India MS.

I know KS will struggle all year, win in Jan. Have middling results till May and do well at Rio. And this is the worst case scenario. Take that to the bank. I am not predicting a medal or anything, I am only saying that he will have a better 2016.
