This is biggest upset of the day, I guess none could predict Lee CW lost to home youngster, 2013 World Junior Champion Heo KH at very early stage. Looks like Korea is tough battleground for foreign participants.

Okay what an upset. Since this tournament is held in Korea I just wouldn't be surprised if the Korean players won most of the matches and who knows they may even surprise us by winning more told medals this time. This is home ground advantage. Korean players may have the advantage in terms of the court, the condition of the court and do forth so easier for them to win. Hi and I guess I cannot call it an upset. I would say home ground advantage here.

Yes agreed with this statement. the Korean players are used to the slow shuttle here. But then foreign player may not get used to it hence it will be difficult for them to win. Plus the windy condition that will blow away shuttlecock makes it worse too.

Yes there is the linesmen advantage too. The linesman may make mistakes to such as saying the shuttles in when it is out or saying the shuttle is out when it is in. Yes, funny but this happens every time the tournament is held in Korea.

But to be honest Korea really have no good MS players hence depending on the old Lee Hyun Il. But then now since the tournament is held in Korea home ground advantage here. Jeon Hyeok Jin may be slightly better but then his result is also inconsistent

Heard this many times before, it surprises me that a Korean do talk about it and doesn't even bother to defend or argue. :)
