Finally Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong won it. What a close encounter. They won 21-19, 29-27. And on top of that Zhang Nan is injured. If not Zhang Nan / Fu Haifeng would have won today. The Chinese were really in total control of the game throughout the whole match.

Well played by LYD/YYS to hold their nerve!

Back to what I said, FHF would have to play at 120% to have any chance. And wow he almost dragged their partnership into the 3rd game. But it wasn't meant to be.

ZN definitely contributed his fair share when he got the chance. I can only salute ZN for making the most of his limited fitness and for staying the entire match to make it closer than anyone thought possible.

    top 3 MD pair, LYD/YYS, MA/HS, FHF/ZN.

for LYD/YYS, they would hope FHF/ZN beat MA/HS before meeting them in the final.
for FHF/ZN, they would hope MA/HS beat LYD/YYS before meeting them in the final.
for MA/HS, they would hope LYD/YYS beat FHF/ZN before meeting them in the final.

    just my thinking.

So conclusion for today finals performance.

    1. China 2 gold, 2 silver.

    2. Denmark 1 gold, 2 silver.

    3. Japan 1 gold, 1 silver.

    4. Korea 1 gold.

So in the end China still top the list, followed by Denmark, Japan and last Korea.

is it me or the Chinese tactics were clever as their plan was too let lee Yong dae do all the attacking at the back court. I think it worked pretty well its just that zhang nan was injured. I also thought FHF played very well today! totally fired up.

TBH LYD needs to pair with someone who is extremely good at defense while keeping enough pressure from the back court. His net techniques are very good but when he moves to the back court it's much easier for his opponents to deal with. He needs another Jung Jae Sung.

Yeah agree with you. I think that Lee Yong dae is the only pair that Fu hai feng has trouble smashing through. The other pairs were totally demolished with one or 2 smashes. But LYD could return them. However, LYD just don't have any power at all to trouble the chinese.
