The unseeded Tian Houwei creates massive shock here to stun strong fave Chen Long, 21-16 / 21-17.
Let's see whether Tian's sensational winning over the reigning world champion is no fluke, how far he can go in this tournament.

Yes this is indeed a score that I am not expected to see today. What another lower ranked player just won over a world ranked no 1 player. Unbelievable. And the score itself is unbelievable too winning in straight sets. Chen Long must have been very tired to lose just like that. Oh no.

take it easy guys. TWH is a top 20 player. Greatest upset category is when a champ loses to someone ranked outside hundred..... Like #86 Saina did in Philippines 2006 vs #2 xu huwaien....

Loads of such examples in tennis, Nadal vs Rosol, Kyrgios (his potential wasn't in doubt last year just as Saina's wasn't in 2006), Brown in consecutive Big Ws; Federer vs Darcis, Delbonis; Sampras vs Bastl; Williams vs Razzano etc. Anymore examples in Badminton?
