CL probably said thank you to the service judge for not being faulted at 29-29 when flick serving

What a thrilling quarterfinal encounter! 21-18 and 30-29 for defending champion winning, credit to both players as Chen Long and Viktor Axelsen delivered entertaining high quality match with their all out performance, superb :)

Clearly Viktor needs a bit more in the "keeping his head cool when the going gets tough" department.

But he is 5 years younger than Chen Long, and Chen Long has been in these high pressure situations before.

He'll have his time for sure :)

    What an exiting match.

Really, really too close for comfort in the 2nd game, right down to the very wire for a sudden death. Both gladiators are loathe to lift the shuttle wary of the other's power smash. What a pulsating, adrenaline-pumping match, Chen Long vs Viktor Axelsen.

Well, I'll see whether Viktor can play the same way against the rest consistently. Oftentimes, we see a player over-performed with a particular opponent and then come back down to earth to his normal self with the others most of the time.

he will come with a positive mind set for sure having seen viktor stretching the defending champion to his limits and having won the indonesian premier super series this year he must be full of confidence. .it should be a fantastic match to watch. .a three gamer probably.

Did we see Viktor play like that against Prannoy yesterday? I don't think so.

totally agree, had he played the way he played today against chen, prannoy wouldn't have even stand a chance but that's quite normal when you play against top players.
