Here we go, the competition will be culminated today, badminton giant China has secured 1 title through WS and may add more through three other categories. KOR suprisingly sealed XD title here while INA has two finals, WD and MD.

WS, Wang Yihan (CHN) v Li Xuerui (CHN)
    Head-to-Head stats : 8-8

Looking at their h-2-h data, both players have equal opportunity to nail WS crown, however Li XR won over her taller compatriot in last three meetings including the most gruelling one in BAC last April. First final in this year for former World Champion in 2015 and third final for the Olympic Champion, both of them performed far behind their top form at first half of this year so who will grab first victory after pretty long time titleless?

WD, Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii (INA) v Luo Ying/Luo Yu (CHN)
    H-2-H : 2-1
On paper it will offer close final contest, INA combo played brilliantly to dispose tough foe yesterday Matsutomo/Takahashi. One step closer for Maheswari/Polii to defend their title but as usual hard job to overcome Chinese pair. But if they implement better strategy as they did at last month INA Premier then the outcome will be the same.

XD, Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na (KOR) v Shin Baek Cheol/Chae Yoo Jung (KOR)
    H-2-H : 0-0

This is the most unpredictable category, none who can guess it'll be all Korean affair at last round. Korean XD seems revive suddenly after failure at Sudirman Cup and we may see their progress in next tournaments. The more experienced Ko SH/Kim HN is favoured to clinch the title, they knocked out tournament favourite, the formidable duo, Zhang/Zhao at last eight.

MD, Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan (CHN) v Markus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (INA)
    H-2-H : 0-0

It's highest achievement so far for INA young combo, a breakthrough to eliminate elite pairs, Lee SM/Tsai CH and Ahsan/Setiawan en route to the final. The world #6 Fu/Zhang has high confidence after subdued hot favourite Lee YD/Yoo YS in last four and will be fourth time lucky for them in 2015 after failed in final of All England, SIN SS and INA SS Premier.

MS, Chen Long (CHN) v Chou Tien Chen (TPE)
    H-2-H : 5-0
Last man standing for homeground fans, Chou TC who performed superbly to eliminate two top calibre players like Jorgensen and Lin Dan. And the final hurdle will be tough task for local hero, none but reigning world champion Chen Long. The world #1 had collected three titles this year, All England, MAS Premier and AUS SS, pretty solid and consistent trend despite he succumbed at early round in Singapore and quarterfinal at Jakarta last month. Will Chou TC score big win once again and capture MS title at homesoil this time?

Zhang Nan was frustrated more than 1 year ago when he played against Kevin in mixed doubles

It would be interesting to see this final

Think China will want LXR to win, as she has the best chance for the World Champs. Also if LXR loses in World Champs again this year, she might be emotionally destroyed permanently.

She could then ask advice to LCW...

Not quite, she'd have to have lost that 2012 Olympics final too. No one is as low as LCW in terms of coming runners-up in majors. He's one of the saddest "big names" in sports history. Snooker's Jimmy White is also up there with him.

But LXR won the OLY in her first year on the circuit, all was new then for her

But with athletes like Poulidor the problem was not mental. With LCW it is mental block only. Ability he has. So the same could be said of LXR if she always fails at WC. It is only mental

Reading Wiki, he came 2nd three times only. LCW has come 2nd three times at World Champs, and twice at Olympics - total of 2nd place 5 times. Jimmy White came 2nd place six times.

Anyway, WYH schooling LXR in a low quality affair so far.

WYH is more pumped-up and determined to end her three successive defeats to LXR.

LXR has won Olympic Gold already. There should be nothing mental for her, despite what some say, trying to find excuses for her. She's won the most prestigious tournament in badminton already. No excuses.

Wow, LXR going to retire? Classic stuff. Might as well not have played.

One of the worst WS matches this year so far. China poor quality as usual?

LXR is using so many backhand shots, when she normally would go overhead. Injured or faking?

I wish Gill Clark commentates on my backhand smashes too. She'd be even more excited hehe. That was nothing special.

WYH at her best and denting LXR's attack with tenacious defence.

LXR isn't a very good actor. Lin Dan much better.
