I just realized just like the last edition of this tournament, based from the scores China's hardest opponent is still Indonesia.

Why Tong Xian Hu is not seen at the podium?

Aiya, those who didn't get to play once aren't standing at the winners podium, no WSX, WZM, Sun Yu or Tian HW (a bit sad for them).

Yes. INA is the only team that can steal 1 point from CHN. In 2013, INA facing CHN at QF. Then in 2015, INA facing CHN at SF. I hope in 2017 edition, INA will face CHN at the final :))

It is strange that Shin Baek Choel Who did not play was on the podium, INA kid Ihsan MM was not on the podium but he didn´t play. Is it every team themselves who decide this?

Hey does anyone know how many points LD will gain after Sudirman Cup?

And what significant changings in rankings can we expect?

    I doubt who took SY's place :D
Had IND been on the podium JG would've been responsible ;)

Yup, CHN blanked JPN 3-0. Maybe two years later in Gold Coast.

Agree sis, when Endo/Hayakawa failed to deliver opening point for JPN, their chance was gone.

The thrilling and unpredictable MD match which spent 79 minutes and coloured by service fault drama to Kenichi Hayakawa. When CHN led big margin at decider then JPN MD closed the gap into 2 point deficit, they made some errors in crucial moment.

Li Xuerui overcame her pressure particularly in game 1, the teenager Yamaguchi really troubled her. The more composed Li XR controlled game 2 convincingly.

Trailed behind 0-2, it was very tough mission for Ueda to score point against the maestro Lin Dan. The Chinese superstar dictated whole match and secured Sudirman Cup in China.

China shows their prowess along this tournament, only drop 1 tie in semifinal against Indonesia, Japan looks promising in team event and will be their archrival at future. Congratulations for all medalists, 10th title for China, what a record!

I think there are no ranking points awarded to the players who played in the Sudirman Cup since it is a team event. It is the same as Thomas & Uber cup. Correct me if I am wrong :)
