I can hardly imagine the total size of the arena (stadium), difficult to imagine that one city has so many courts...

but it does make sense if they build many vertical buildings to house the courts :)

It's really unfortunate for DEN team but their fighting spirit is amazing, they almost created big upset here without their top doubles pairs and unhealthy MS.

Yup, Matsutomo/Takahashi was extremely under pressure and hard to keep focus as whole team fate relied on them.

Sorry to correct you. The figure 1535 refers to number of badminton courts in Dongguan. As for number of multi-sport stadiums (which includes other sports facilities besides badminton), there are close to 60 (sixty). That's a lot still.

Jonathan Christie's post match interview :

“I kept pushing myself when I was down; I kept playing at the net and going for the smash,”

“I had to play all-out. I’ve lost to him once and I studied the video. This is my first Sudirman Cup; I want to show that Indonesia has a great young player for the future!”

He mentions about himself that he is a great young player. Like his attitude and fighting spirit. Keep it up.

I Just came back from Dongguan for the two days-quarters, it was a lot of fun. The last game WD Den-Jap was especially good. The Danes kept smashing and the Japanese were inhibited. The whole crowd sided for the Danes and it was very noisy!

No :(! I did not bring my camera.
I did not see any player to. In HK we see them a lot around the stadium, but in Dongguan the Gym is quite isolated and the players have no where to go between matches.

Outside the Stadium there are Li Ning stand, Victor stand and Yonex stand. I went to the Li Ning stand and had a look at the shuttlecocks. They proposed all of their range, including the rare A600 used in the tournament. 345 RMB a tube! I did not buy...

Amazingly, the cookie fiasco did not hurt the Danish team in the tie against Japan. Both Danish MD and XD pairs won. Considering that CP/KJ was on a four match losing streak against MM/AT, their participation probably would not change a thing. Had JoJ not fallen ill, the Danish may just pull it through.

The Danes should pat themselves on the back for a job well done!
