In the Thomas/Uber Cup the Indian girls rose to the challenge and finished with a bronze. India will need them to lead from the front for a fairytale to happen. It is good to dream and believe you can win even against a stronger team. Malaysia comes with experience, confidence and momentum. India goes with dreams and a fighting spirit.
Looking at the lineup MAS IND, if KS beats LCW IND are 2-1 up (Saina will win WS, MAS win MD) that will put huge pressure on remaining MAS players and I think IND can beat MAS if KS wins vs LCW.
I like Ashwini but Jwala is too slow and sluggish. She only blocks the front shots. Moreover, her size is blocking Ashwini's vision.
INA v ENG line-up => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...DB73EE0-97F1-4387-A72F-52B49FBE4586&match=433 MD, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan v Andrew Ellis/Peter Mills WS, Lindaweni Fanetri v Fontaine Mica Chapman MS, Jonatan Christie v Rajiv Ouseph WD, Nitya K.Maheswari/Gerysia Polii v Heather Olver/Lauren Smith XD, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir v Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock Let's see the teenager Jonatan Christie performance in this big team event whether he will deliver stiff resistance against the experienced Ouseph.
Between 2 live streams tonight, I hope I am able to enjoy both MS events simultaneously. I really want to see LCW vs. KS and our young lad Jonatan vs. Rajiv.
Curious that yesterday the Adcocks played 3 events. Husband and wife played in XD, MD, WD. They yielded 1 pt for England. What is England's strategy today? Was that their best all out lineup vs. Denmark or today's their MD, WD best pairs vs. INA's?
I don't follow badminton as much these days but kinda knew the Sudirman Cup was starting so I went to TS to check the schedule. Well, it had started with the first day completed. I scanned through the results and had to do a double take when I saw KOR 2 MAS 3. Alright I thought, let's have a look at the details. MAS won MD against LYD/YYS... really, how can this be? LCW won handily, no surprise (bet he was itching to get back on court). And MAS won XD, with the highly overrated KOR pair of KSH and KHN disappointing yet again. Always maintained KHN was a bit of a wallflower. BUT... also good to see the lovely JKH won. So against India tonight it looks like MAS 4-1 or 3-2 for me. The extra point for India would be if Srikanth takes out LCW. Even if MAS tops the group I think they will take on probably TPE in the QF and I think that will be all she wrote for them. Timing is bad for me to watch (midnight and 5:00am ) so I will be catching up reading comments on BC and the results on TS.
The 2 streaming later on start at 4:00 am for me here. I am ready to take early night now and wake up by 4
You know what, I'm so out of it (must be my flu meds). Of course you're right. I'm in the same time zone as you. DUH!
So welcome back madbad Let Canada host the next Sudirman Cup so both of you may have the comfort zone ha ha ha... comfort eventually means paying
Thank you Kelana. We are so starved of good badminton here. With the news that LCW could be heading over for the Canadian Open I might well have to make the 10 hour drive to Calgary to watch!
Kim Ha Na - Wallflower? Well said about the KOR's overrated XD! But I remember you are an ardent fan of the cutie, Kim Ha Na, how cruel that now you nick her as WALLFLOWER
Long time not see you madbad in this forum The MAS MD played beyond expectation to topple their fancy opponent but I believe KOR will bounce back in next match
