Yes it is proven now. Ranking is no longer important. I predicted earlier that Korea will win over Malaysia 4-1. I predicted Korea will win in WS, MD, WD and XD. What happened? Malaysia won against Korea 3-2. Wow. As said Chan Peng Soon / Goh Liu Ying only played in 4 tournaments together this year and they won gold, silver and bronze medal but Ko Song Hyun / Kim Ha Na never win any medals this year. That is why ranking is not important. Malaysia won in MD, MS and XD. Congratulations. Actually the Malaysians could have won the WD match. Pity them. The Koreans WD are not that good either. They only know how to shout loudly and delay the serve. All in Chan Peng Soon / Goh Liu Ying dominated the whole XD match. Imagine, Goh Liu Ying legs are both heavily strapped during tournaments as she hasn't completely heal yet and yet she can play so well to win. Wow then Goh V Shem both legs are also heavily strapped due to his serious knee injuries nut still amazing that he can win today. Malaysia dominated the whole MD match so well. I learn a good lessons today. Never looked down on any player just because they have low ranking. When players seldom play together of course the ranking will be low. But good job here. Despite injuries Malaysia players still win the match. Congratulations.
I'd also argue that the MD upset was more pivotal in the overall series. LCW was expected to win, so the MD is really the big morale booster to show that an upset can happen against the world #1 pair. Regardless of what it was, it's quite the sight to see the technical director scream and shout along with his players. Stark contrast compared to Rashid Sidek's stone cold expression. Glad I watched the upset happen.
No the order of the play should follow should be a doubles match first so it will be either MD, WD or XD. Then it will be alternated with singles match such as MS or WS. It goes alternate like this. 1. doubles 2. single 3, doubles 4, single 5. doubles
MAS' upset over KOR looks like to make China have a potentially easy route to the final in upper half of the play-off stage (meeting DEN, MAS, TPE) if they win their group whilst the lower half will be a fierce fight amongst THA, INA, JPN & KOR.

But if there's no LCW in the team and after the MS, let's say the result was 1-2 down instead of 2-1 up, would the following MAS WD and XD be so pumped up and not somewhat dejected, perhaps not? That's just my opinion. Well, Morten Frost is one happy man, quite satisfied, he's in a way proven to BAM that every Ringgit spent on him is well worth it so far. A good start is half the battle won.

To each his own, some are doing well outside badminton; not every one is suited for coaching job. Han Jian once coached the MAS team.Luan Jin is still into coaching, now for the Hong Kong team.
Either way, they produced an upset and some spectacular badminton . Chan Peng Soon is simply so underrated. His movement is superb, excellent coverage, relentless attack, and at the right time mixes up his game to create some angles I don't really see in mixed doubles much. BAM has waited too long to get Morten on board, I remember BAM wanting Morten, but they had disagreements with his wage. (this is just from memory anyway) He's so far done some good work with boosting morale and making some structural changes to offer the players and coaches better benefits. He's started his position right by amending the massive cluster BAM created. Excited to see where he's going to take Malaysian badminton next. On the flip side, ff history of badminton has shown us anything, is that it takes time to develop an entire generation of badminton players. Park Joo Bong started from scratch, and produced the next generation of giant killers like Nozomi Okuhara, Akane Yamaguchi and Kento Momota. I hesitate to say Morten has cured Malaysian badminton's troubles as of yet, since their real problem is the next generation of players who should be cropping up after 2016 Rio. It's definitely a good start, and BAM will have to keep Morten as long as Japan has kept Park Joo Bong to make a real difference.
