Fortune, you're so good(!) in tracking a shuttler's nearly decade-long record / stats [even though he's a Lin Dan], you must have learned it from the same book as GC :D:D

Heard rumor that this tournament will be upgraded to Super series level soon? Is this true? Wonder how is this possible since this tournament is only opened to Asian players.

Still pretty dissapointed on how CCTV 5+ did not broadcast the MD match and how I'm stucked with choppy/low quality playbacks. Oh well, still gotta be grateful I got to watch this great match.

Yes, still no HD or quality replay of the MD.
Annoying that BW.tv didn´t / couldn´t cover this event.

This is a BAC (Badminton Asia Confederation) event. BAC should have done more in term of live streaming.

China Masters took place just the week before. TC/UC took place a few years ago in Wuhan. The infrastructure is clearly available to provide live streaming from Wuhan. If BAC does not make streaming available to the widest audience possible, how can they promote badminton, especially in new markets?

How non-asian players are going to gain points then? I found this quite ridiculous though.

Many things need to change to bring more glamours back for BAC championship.... Planning to have live streaming for all ICs in Asia... We are way behind ... Look at the website of BAC... So poorly done.. Anyway.. Need to plan more junior tournaments in Asia.. Since i will be in charge for Asian events in BAC

No Fan123. Apart from the list you mentioned, i don't know anything. In India, i guess they won't take this tournament seriously. Huge drawback.:crying:

In Indian Badminton Circles, this and TC has always been the biggest tournament... Biggesr than AE, Olympics and Worlds.

That was my personal opinion. Dont mistake me. I have heard many countries preparing for this tournament in advance and news coming one after another about this tournament. In India, they dont even have a proper double's pair (except jwala/aswini) and firstofall they dont even give importance to those players . If at all they considered this tournament as a huge one, they would have included Jwala/aswini in the list for special coaching. Unfortunate.

Well the state of doubles is indeed shambolic, despite the endless pool of challenge. Atik Jauhari should have been retained and given a freer hand.
