It seems Ma Jin changes very often. No one partner can last a whole Olympic cycle, whether in XD or WD.

Maybe they want Ma Jin to focus in WD instead of XD as her recent performance with Xu Chen is not that promising compared to Zhang/Zhao's.

Just re-read all related posts on this forum on this matter.

A nice example is Chen Long giving walkover to THW in the semis of this tournament. Chen Long is already world no. 1 and doesn't really benefit from extra points. However, THW is currently world no. 12 and would greatly benefit from getting to the final (at least) and climbing the world ranking ladder as the Olympics qualifying period starts soon etc.

If this tournament doesn't give any ranking points, then that theory above is bust (unlike many people here, I'm okay to admit I'm wrong), and perhaps we'll settle for reason 2. hehe.

The more players China have the in top 10 or top 5, the better it is for them as a country, especially for the bigger tournaments. It's quite simple really.

CL is wr 1, LD is wr 3, if LD was wr 2 he would never have to face CL Before the final in any event, this is beneficial to the CHN team.

Well China WD partnership seems to change frequently just like someone changing clothes or shoes. Just wonder why so many changes in the WD partnership. Anyway any player play with any partner I believe they still can win because China have too many good WD.

They should also asked Lin Dan to give WO to Wang Zhengming too, I mean Wang can use some additional ranking points.

Yes, that's another reason. As I said, all quite simple. But China fans gonna be China fans.

By the way, my favourite WS player used to be from China - WSX. And I still root for her many times even now. Her dip in form over the last few years was the reason I supported her less (gosh I'm mean!), not because she's from China. So I'm seriously not against Chinese players in general. Good on them for dominating, but don't belittle our beloved sport by conceding WOs for reasons 1. and 2.

It's okay, he's already in the top 10 hehe. It's more important for Lin Dan to secure world no. 2 ranking!

If you go back a few years, pre 2008 Oly, LD gave a few walkovers to CJ. I think that was when it all started.

It seems whoever partners Yuanting in Rio, will likely win WD Gold

Oh the one where Singapore officials accepted the reason for the WO hence it's valid. I mean I rather trust the tournament officials rather than some posters here.

Some won't notice, they get sad when it's an all-Chn affair so they are probably having an early dinner.
