Yes that was so funny. I enjoyed how he clapped at the end! I couldn't stop laughing for several minutes after that.

By insinuating that the WOs by China camp benefited other Chinese players in this tournament when in fact the main beneficiary are two South Korean pairs. I thought you are smart.

Doesn't matter what the reason is for WOs (aside from injury etc). It's still wrong and bad sportsmanship.

However, some of the reasons for WOs from China include:
    1. Giving their Chinese opponents more ranking points to boost their world ranking
    2. Resting themselves for more important tournaments (why enter in the first place? Perhaps so they can take out the competition so that the other lower ranked Chinese players can benefit)
    3. Genuine injury

Unfortunately, reasons 1. and 2. appear to be the most common, as demonstrated by limsy's statistics. Really sad for our beloved sport.

Yes he appears to be quite nice. I think he was sorta being sarcastic because of the call on the net kill, but it was still sorta a "nice sarcastic" hehe. Darn funny though.

Just to say it in simple line: today's WS best #1: Saina Nehwal; best #2: Carolina Marin; best #3: Li Xuerui; best #4: Wang Shixian and so on.

Next fortnight or month thing may chance, up to the points.

Btw, the peak of the Li Xuerui was from 2011 till the 2012 London Olympics; after that she is still very good, until today, but not as excel as that [peak] period.

When did they stated those reasons? There's nothing wrong with a WO if the reason is genuine injury.

WO's in this BAC has become a norm as far as I can see it. So many nations didn't even participate in this tournament and hence the WO's. Well I think the BAC committee should really look into this matter seriously. They should confirm which player is eligible to play and which player is not eligible to play before the draw. If the players are not eligible to play, BAC committee should not include the players name in the draw list. Some players straight away qualify to play in the QF due to the WO's. This is a bit unfair for the player who needs to play starting from round 1. Furthermore those player who straight away qualify to play in the QF will earn the same points as those players who needs to play starting from round 1, 2, 3 then QF. A bit unfair. BAC event will become a laughing stock when things like that happen again next year. So many WO's in this tournament that I totally lost count of it.

Is Ma Jin an even better partner for Tang Yuanting than Bao Yixin? The CHN coaches seem to think so, MJ/TYT are also fielded for the AUS Open, an OG qualification event.

Please elaborate the point #1, how such thing will benefit the CHN team. I don't grasp it.

I don't consider ranking points to be that important mate. LCW was ranked way ahead of LD for so many years, but we all know that LD is the best.

Also, there are some players I know personally who are in the top 100 and they consistently lose to unranked players (or players ranked something like 900) in real tournament play (usually in qualifying and first rounds).

Peak LXR still wasn't that far ahead of the rest of the field, if at all. I actually thought LXR peaked 2012-2014. Pretty sure she won just about every single superseries in 2013 etc.
